Through the Forest You Ran

Through the forest you ran,

Giant wolf and pale man,

So different, in the moonlight

You share your thoughts tonight,

Meeting separate hurdles,

Fighting one big battle,

On both sides there's heartbreak,

Stop now for her sake,

The ache inside her burns,

When she sees you it returns,

Now she takes the blame,

For all that you became,

For the pain sealed in your heart,

For tearing you apart,

For the hurt etched in your face,

Impossible to erase,

There's nothing they can say,

It wouldn't matter anyway,

You've made your mind up now,

Someway, you don't know how,

But it will all be over soon,

You will be gone with the moon,

Drifting with the breeze,

Flying through the trees,

Free of all strife,

To live your own life.
