First of all, I wish to dedicate this to one of my best friends o3o We were chatting about this ship and then kaboom! This idea came to me and then I shared it with her and then she gave me basically, a plan for this lil fanfic xD anyway, I own nothing and Enjoy~
Happy Valentines Day~
By the way, on wiki is says that Howl is 27 while Sophie was 18. So now, in this small fanfic, Sophie is 9 while Howl is 18 o3o
Sophie Hatter was not going to cry. No. Just because her new dress that her father got her for her birthday was ripped and that her knee was bleeding a lot, did not mean that she was going to cry. Just because the fruit that was in her basket was tipped over to the ground, causing a massive mess and that some people were staring at her did not mean that she was going to cry.
But she felt her lip trembling and her body shaking. She wanted to escape this crowd of people. So slowly, she stood up. It hurts, she thought as she tried to get the scattered fruit back into her basket. Her tiny hands felt weak as she picked up the pieces of fruit.
They're still staring, she thought nervously, trying to speed up cleaning her mess. There was still some of her blood straining the ground where she had previously fallen.
Her knee was beginning to ache more and the pain was still there. It was then that she felt a small tear trickle down her face, her little hands taking the basket swiftly before trying to walk away from the crowd that surrounded her from before as quickly as possible.
But then she felt a hand on her shoulder, causing her to tense up and jump a bit and turn around quickly. Instantly she said, "I'm sorry mister, but I'm in a rush." Before trying to get away.
Light laughter was heard as the person who placed his hand on her shoulder shook his head. His blond hair swaying a bit, shining in the sun light. "It seems like you're hurt though. Her, let me help." He offered as he stood in front of her and knelt down.
"Mother and father says not to trust strangers," she said bluntly before fidgeting a bit.
"It's alright, here, just let me see your knee," smiled the teenager as the small girl stared at him with doubt before doing so.
Lifting her pink dress so that he could see her knee, the teenager placed his hand in front of the wound and began mumbling some words. Sophie's eyes became wide with shock and awe as she watched the wound heal quickly. The sparks of magic fluttered in the air for a bit like butterflys.
"See? Now your knee is all better," smiled the teenager as he stood up, dusting his trousers, incase there were any pieces of dust would become visible.
"Thank you mister!" Grinned Sophie brightly as the teenager nodded his head.
"Take care, alright? I'll see you around," he said before turning around and walking away. Leaving the small girl to her own devices. But after a minute, the teenager turned around, and scanned the area for the little girl with brown hair before smiling. Some how, the teenager knew that the girl would have a bright future of sorts, and a big impact on someone's life.
That night, Sophie sat on her bed, staring at her knee with wonder on her face. She placed her finger tips on where the wound had been. It was gone now. But her dress was still ripped, some parts were still covered with blood. It was hard to explain to her mother what happened.
But then she finally noticed something. There was something in her basket. It was pink, that's all she saw. Curiosity taking hold of her, she walked towards her basket and took out a ribbon. A simple pink ribbon. A deep, dark pink though, almost red. But it was beautiful, and it felt so soft.
There was a small note inside her basket that she didn't notice though. And it read;
Take care - Howl.
