"Hurry!" Percy called. "Over here!" With the last of their might, Percy and Grover managed to get the girl over the boundary and into Camp Half-Blood.

It was nearly two weeks since Kaelan arrived at camp. Still, she was at cabin eleven, as if nobody seemed to even care to claim her. Chiron knew that she wasn't thirteen or really close so they had a long time to wait. Problem is, they can't even get a general idea of who her parent was. Conner and Travis says that she was probably a Hermes kid from the way she's not talented in anything in particular. Nico says that she should be a Hades kid from the way she could send a chill down your spine just by her soulless glare. The soulless glare.

Chiron almost forgot about that. Ever since Kaelan arrived at camp, the biggest mystery was what happened to her eyes. Even before the day when Percy and Grover found her wandering around the campus of Goode, she had it. She had grey eyes so light that all you could see, without starting of course, was a grey lifeless circle with the tiniest tinge of acid green. Made her look like a soulless ghost dressed in a complete black outfit. The next abnormal thing in line is, of course, Kaelan is nocturnal. Though a bit of noise could get her up during the day, there's no doubt that she's way more active at night. Chiron sighed. Kaelan herself was a mystery.

As weeks passed, most campers got used to her but she still stood out. Kaelan was just too different. Throughout the day, she would wander through the forest. At night, she would wander through the dark. Nobody would ever catch sight of her unless it was meal time. Every day, she would come back to the Hermes cabin so late nobody saw her come in. In the mornings, she would leave before anyone woke up.

But then, there was Nico. While shadow traveling, he ran into her a few times, today included.

Nico was playing with Mrs. O'Leary when he heard a loud rustle coming from the foset. Since he was pretty that he would be noticed if he walked into the forest, he decided to shadow travel.

When he opened his eyes, he heard a shushed yelp. Nico was face to face with Kaelan in the deepest part of the forest. He stared. With Kaelan dressed in a completely black outfit and nearly no light, it was hard to see her. Or was is she not there at all?
"Kaelan?" Nico called. His voice echoed through the trees. As a son of Hades, Nico wasn't scared of the dark, but this was starting to creep him out. "Kaelan?" he called again. Still no response came. Nico stood there and waited for what seemed like hours. At one point, he was so tired that he sat down, leaning on a tree. A black figure materialized next to him. The figure seemed to camouflage into the darkness. "Three questions, that's all you get," a voice spoke. Nico mind echoed with the sound of this new voice.
"Who are you?" Nico asked.
"Kaelan. You only have two now," the cold, heartless voice said again. Nico slapped himself across the face, how could he have been so stupid?
"Are you a Hades kid or a Hermes kid?"
"Neither"
"Who is your godly parent then? You must know," Nico inquired. Kaelan stood up.
"I will not tell you, but I will give you a hint," she said. She turned her head so she was starting Nico in the eye. Nico quickly turned away for her glare could give him nightmares. "It's not scary, I promise," said Kaelan. Nico slowly met her eyes. But what he saw wan't her eyes, at least not the ones they have seen before.

Her eyes were green. Piercing green.
