Every night, he would end up here whether he planned to go or not. He would never complain though as this was his chance to see her again, even if for an hour or two it was more than enough for him.

Sometimes, like tonight, he would get to their meeting place first and would simply lay down on the flowers and wait for her, breathing in the calm, fresh scent in the air. It almost felt as if he was asleep in his dreams.

She would always approach him from behind, covering his already closed eyes with her hands playfully and giving out her gorgeous giggle. He would always smile in her direction and play along with her, pretending he didn't know who it was.

Then, when she would remove her hands, everything seemed brighter and it was almost as if she were painted in a holy, white light. Cloud honestly wouldn't have been surprised if she was an angel that was sent to the Planet. Her presence had seemed so magical to him.

When his dreams first came to him, he regretted coming for he couldn't face the beautiful woman with the guilt that he had felt, thinking he was responsible for killing her. Back then, he could never see her face in his dreams because he couldn't bring himself to see the hurt look in her eyes, the betrayal written across her face.

Now though, she had forgiven him even if there was nothing to forgive in the first place and instead of standing back to back, unspoken emotions hanging between them, they could lie next to each other, staring into each other's eyes.

It was a perfect scene and allowed Cloud to feel at peace for once.

Then, dawn would approach and he would unconsciously hold her tighter to him, nuzzling his head in her hair, never wanting to leave her. And she would always squeeze his hand gently and give him her most dazzling smile as she kissed her cheek.

"Don't worry Cloud," she would assure him gently. "Our love will survive anything, even death."

And Cloud would smile back, giving a short nod as the flower field began to drift away. His hand always remained held onto hers, connecting them both until the very last second of sleep right before Cloud would awaken and have to get on with life.

But that no longer scared him.
