New Life

Running is my habit going to school; I don't have bike or car to ride because my dad is too old enough to work. And mother only has her laundry shop and the money is only enough for our food. My brother Tamahomi is working as a merchandiser in a shopping mall, but even though we have no wealth I'm happy and contented being with them.

"Ohayo, Shirley" the twins greeted me

I'm so exhausted when I arrived. "Huh...Huh...Huh...huh...huh. O…Ohayo Summer! Ohayo Spring"

"Your exhausted Shirley, did you ran again from your house to here?" Summer asked

"Huh! Yes definitely and I have my new record time. Hahahhaha"

"You don't need have to run Shirley; we can let you ride with us every morning. I know Spring will be happy if we go to school together every morning." Summer said

"Yes...Yes…Yes! I will be happy Shirley. I love to go to school together with you Shirley." Spring said

"Its OK guys' running every morning is no problem."

"Are you really sure Shirley? "Spring asked with a sad face

"It's really OK Spring, don't worry about me." I said with a smile

After talking with Summer and Spring I went to my chair to place my things. I look at Miaka's chair but he is not yet arrived maybe he cannot get up early. At the window where I always stay, I saw Miaka standing, I was wrong of saying that he cannot get up early. I don't know what am I going to do, do I have to greet him or I will just ignore him? While thinking what am I going to do Miaka smiles at me and greeted me.

"Ohayo Shirley." Miaka said

"O…O…Ohayo Miaka" I replied

"So, how's your morning" Miaka asked

"It's ok"

"I saw you running while going here, why are you running?" Miaka asked

"That's my routine every morning. Hahahaha!"

"Don't you have car to ride in going here?" Miaka asked

"No I don't have. My family has no wealth to buy a car, but even though I'm contended and happy because I love them."

"You did not change Shirley" Miaka whispered

"What did you say?" I asked

"Nothing" he smiled

After having conversation with Miaka I felt that I already meet him, but where? His voice and his smile remind me of something.

I was looking at Miaka for the whole day, without thinking I ask Miaka to go home together.

"Ahm…ahm! Miaka!"

"What?" he answered

"Can we go home together I just want to know you better, because I think you nice?"

"It's OK Shirley" he replied with a smile

We go home together and while walking my mind want to ask him if we already meet before but my mouth cannot speak any words. I do not know why I'm acting this way every time I'm in front of him. I look for ways so that we can have a conversation.

"Ahm…Ahmm… so Miaka do you have a brother or sister?" I asked him

"I have a sister before but she's gone." He said

"What do you mean she's gone?"

"I left her here in Tokyo." He said with a sad face

"But why"

"To protect her" he said

I keep quiet and saw Miaka's face full of sadness. I did not experience of losing someone but that time I felt the same way as Miaka. I don't know why but I just felt the same way. We were walking very quiet until we reach his house.

"I have to stop here Shirley, I'm glad in having a conversation with you. Thank you. Bye" he said

"Ok, bye Miaka. See you tomorrow."

I never thought that Miaka's life is full of sadness; maybe it's really hard to lose someone. But that time I don't understand why I felt the same way, have I lost someone before? and did I met Miaka before"
