Beyond the light of day
Prologue
Everything was going fine for once on PYX-1323, the team went, Jack got to spend some quality time with his trees, Sam was all goo-goo eyed at the soil samples that she had, Daniel was near hysteric at the ruins he had, and Teal'c was, well, just there mostly watching out for the team. But all things have to come to an end and they did just that when they were on their way back to the gate. It started to rain and storm, with lighting and thunder.
"Daniel get the gate dialed I want outa this place, stupid trees, no matter where we go there always there," Jack grumbled as Daniel ran ahead of them to the DHD, he punched in the address for earth and when the wormhole stabilized he punched in the code on his GDO. Sam and Teal'c entered the stargate first and Jack walked up to the gate and stopped to look back at Daniel, "Hurry up were not gonna wait all day," before turning to enter the gate. Daniel ran up after and walked through at the same time the whole thing went berserk. He could feel it in all the atoms of his body. Next thing he knew he was being thrown out of the gate and down, down, down, a lot of stairs, he lost his bag and glasses before disappearing beneath water. The last thing he though was, what just happened, then everything went black.
Back on Earth
Jack just made it through, and down the ramp went the wormhole started to fade in and out. Sam looked shocked and ran up to the control room to find out what was going on with the gate. Jack turned around and stared at the gate hoping that Daniel was going to make it back in time. Then the wormhole completely disappeared, Daniel had not come through. "Carter," Jack shouted, turning to look at his 2IC.
"I don't know Sir. It could be something wrong with the gate on 1323, or a blot of lighting could have hit the gate, I don't know," Carter said, her fingers going as fast as they could across the keyboard.
"But what would have happened to Daniel," Jack asked as he walked into the control room.
"There are only two things that could have happened, Sir. Either he is still on the planet, or he was in the wormhole when it was hit and he could have ended up on another planet." Sam said as she looked up at him.
"So where is he and how are we going to find him," Jack wanted to know, and he wanted to know now.
"I don't know, Sir. I don't know." Sam said looking dejectedly at the stargate. Hammond just looked at what was left of SG-1.
"Briefing at 1800, we will decided then how we will find Dr. Jackson." Hammond turned and walked back to his office, thinking of how he could trick the Senator to get as much equipment and personal to look for Daniel as he could.
