Ouch, she thought as she crawled off her horse. It had been almost a week ago since she ran away that morning, and cut her leg, and Jon and everybody thought she was doing better, but she was far from it. In front of everybody else, she was doing fine, and in her mind, yes, she was. But she couldn't deny that she was getting sick from that wound being improperly handled. But she wasn't gonna let them know. She put on a huge fake smile. And tried to walk straight, even though it increasingly hard to walk on that leg. She couldn't figure out why everybody was looking at her like something was wrong. She walked up to Jon "Jon, why are we stopping early?" she asked. "Lena, whats wrong?" he asked. "Nothing, why?" she asked. "You don't look all right. "He answered. To be honest, she felt crap, she was tired, she had a pounding headache, her whole body, ached but she didn't want to stop. "Lena, be honest with me." He demanded. "Just tired." She lied. "We'll rest here." Jon said to the others. "There's something wrong with you." He said. "Jon, I swear." She said. "I'm just tired. "She lied, and started coughing. "You're not all right." He said. "I'm fine, I'm just tired, "she argued. "You don't have to lie to me." He told her. "You've said that for two days now, Lena whats wrong with you?" he asked. "Jon, I don't want you to worry about me." She said. "Lena, I already know you're sick, don't lie to me." He said. "Jon, I don't know," she said, and started coughing up blood. "Jon, I'm fine," she tried to say. "No, you're not, "he said, grabbing her by the waist and leading her away from the others, so they couldn't see how sick she was. "Jon, you don't have to do this," she slurred. "Yes, I do, Lena!" he explained. "Just let me die!" she demanded. "No, you're not dying! "He said, thinking she was just talking out of her head. "Yes, I am!" she yelled, and broke free from his arms, and turned and looked at him. "My leg, it's setting up infection, I am dying Jon, I didn't want you to worry about me, but it's too late." She explained. "I'm so sorry!" she said. He looked crushed. "I'm not leaving you to die all by yourself, then!" he said, on the verge of tears. "Please don't cry. "She said. "At least I won't be suffering anymore." She said. "I'll be with my mother, Jon." She said. "We'll be together someday, I swear." She said. "Just don't forget about me." She said. You're not gonna die, you can't die, he wanted to say. But she was sick, and he couldn't change fate. She sat down on the ground. He sat down beside her and put his arm around her. "Lena, please let me help you," he said. "I know I never told you, but I always thought in the end, it was gonna be me and you, because I care about you more than any other girl I've ever met in my whole entire life," he said. She looked at him, with tears in her eyes. "Jon, I'm sorry," she said, crying. "I'll never find anyone else, that I care about like I care about you," he said, about to cry. "And I don't regret ever meeting you." He finished. "Jon, honestly I lived my whole life swearing I'd never fall in love, but you're the first person that ever changed my mind." She said.
