A/N: I'm not using the New Yawk accent in this story because there is not much dialogue. This is my first Newsies story I'm posting, so...If you find any errors, please tell me and I will make those corrections.

We met a year, two months, and eighteen days ago. Yes, it may seem weird, but I have been keeping the time we've been together to this day. I still vividly remember the day we met...
You came to the docks wanting a job as a newsie. I still don't know why you didn't go to Manhattan. When I first saw you, I knew I needed to be with you...forever.
That night I asked you out to dinner. Well, not exactly 'out to dinner' considering I stole two sandwiches from that old vendor and we ate on the docks. You thought I was rushing things, I could see it in your eyes.
But it all worked out didn't it?

You were the only girl in the lodging house at that time and had your own room. We sat there on your bed for hours talking about our pasts and fun times.
Then it happened...

It sent shivers down both of our spines. It was electrifying, unlike anything I've ever felt before.
Most people think I'm a womanizer. I mean, yeah, I go out with girls, but I don't cheat. I don't have the heart to. Everyone thinks I go through girls like I go through shooters with my slingshot. You and I both know I love you and I would never leave you.

Remember the time at the lake in Central Park? You told me I had a big ego and pushed me in the water. You were about to help me out when I pulled you in too. That started an all out water fight.
Then lat winter we went ice skating together and we both fell on our rear-ends about 6 times. When we got back to the LH Sam made us hot cocoa to warm us up. That night we just sat together by the fire in each others arms, once in a while stealing a kiss from one another.

Now I'm sitting here waiting for you to come back from your 'girls night out' now that there are 7 girls in the LH now.
*Thump, thump, thump*
Those must be your footsteps in the hallway. You open the door and seem shocked to see me sitting on your bed just staring at you. Now you are coming closer and I move over so you can lie down next to me. Your so warm and comforting to hold.
"How was your night?" I asked.
"It was great, but I missed you." She replied.
"I missed you too Striker, you're never leaving my side. Soon enough you'll be Mrs. Conlon."
