Chapter 1- Could this be love?
sesshomaru's POV
As I watch Rin sleeping on my lap, I see how beautiful she has gotten over the last ten year. she looks so innocent just like she did when she was a child.
Back then my feelings for her were more fatherly, but as i watched her grow up they changed into a less innocent love. This feeling …. when I see Kohaku hug Rin, my heart aches, and when she cries, I shut down and let my feelings take over; all I can do is hug her tightly….could..this..be love?
Rin's POV
I lay in sesshomaru's lap and pretend to be asleep. When I was little i got this kind of attention all the time, but as I became older sesshomaru would leave me alone for longer so long. I would be lonely, and sometimes I would cry. Sesshomaru wouldn't even hug me when I needed him the most. So when I get a time like this, I cherish it and engrave it into my mind for those lonely times. But things changed when I became 17. One time when I was crying, Sesshomaru would hug me like always , my heart would skip a beat and I couldn't breath for a little bit, not like when Kohaku hugs me, I would just blush a little ….. but when sesshomaru hugs me, or even touches me, my heart goes crazy…..`Gasps'...could...this be l-love?
Sesshomaru's POV
I look down at Rin's face, it's all red. I touch her forehead to check for fever, but as soon as my finger touches her she jumps up and runs down to the river , I say to myself, "What the hell?!"
Rin's POV
I splash cold water on my face "what is wrong with me? all he did was touch me?!" "DAMNIT! I am such an idiot!". "Why are you an idiot?"sesshomaru asks behind me. My heart starts to beat again I try to run away sesshomaru grabs my arm. In a cold voice he asks "Why are you trying to run away". Why heart beats even faster, it's getting hard to breath, Sesshomaru are you trying to kill me!
My pov
Rin's face gets hot, Sesshomaru can feel her pulse quicken and temperature rise. He asks in a worried voice ,"Are you sick? What's wrong ?". Rin shakes her head and tugs her arm to try and get away, but Sesshomaru's grip is unshakeable. Instead he pulls her closer, looks her dead in the eyes and says "what. is. wrong." Rin yells back "I DON'T KNOW!" then the tears start to fall, Rin drops to her knees crying. Sesshomaru kneels down and hugs her tightly as he says "I'm sorry, please don't cry."Rin's heart is at it's limit. Before she faints she says, "I think I love you." Sesshomaru picks her up and says "me too"
he looks up at the moon and says to himself, "How could I the great Sesshomaru fall for a mere mortal?" He looks down and slowly lets Rin's lips touch his.
