The air around the Kingdom of Hearts was filled with a festive atmosphere. The villagers surrounded their kingdom's castle with rejoice and excitement, waiting with anticipation to welcome their Queen's newborn baby. As the cheering continued outside, the screams of the queens' echoed within the castle walls, the King right beside his wife as he whispered comforting words. "You're doing a great job, just one more push."

With a loud scream, the Queen pushed with all her might, only stopping until a baby's cry was heard. The nurses cleansed the infant, wrapped up the baby and approached the queen. "Congratulations Queen Higurashi, it's a girl."

The Queen barely had enough time to smile before another painful scream erupted from her. The doctors quickly rushed to examine her. "My word, it would seem our Queen will be expecting twins. Quickly nurses we must start immediately!" After repeating the same agonizing process, the other twin was born. One of the nurses carried the second baby to the back to cleanse it.

The Queen nearly collapsed from exhaustion but held onto consciousness when the nurse once again approached with the first baby infant in her arms. She quickly reached out to hold onto her baby. Queen Higurashi couldn't believe what she had heard. She turned towards the King and smiled with overjoy, "Twins, twins darling!" King Higurashi smiled back at her and kissed her forehead.

"What should we name her?" asked the King.

The Queen looked back down at her still crying baby and kissed it. "Kikyo, Higurashi Kikyo."

"Kikyo, what a beautiful name." The King replied.

Queen Higurashi looked up at the doctor, "Where is my other baby?" The doctor excused himself to the back to see what the holdup was about. The King carried Kikyo and smiled proudly when he found the heart marking imbedded in-between her collar bones. The doctor came back out with the second infant in his arms. The King and Queen looked up ready to welcome their second born but paused when they saw the pitiful sad look on the doctor's expression.

"What seems to be the problem doctor?" The King asked, the doctor's hesitation only added scare to the King and Queen.

The doctor placed the second baby in the Queen's arm. "I'm afraid that this infant does not contain any marking." Queen Higurashi got up shocked from the news. "No, this cannot be real." She quickly unwrapped and check the baby's body, there was indeed no marking at all.

The crowd outside slowly calmed as they saw their King emerge from the high balcony of the castle. "My people of the Kingdom of Hearts, I am proud to welcome your new princess." The villagers held their breath as the King held out the baby. "Princess Kikyo!"

The loud cheers chanting 'Princess Kikyo' continued outside, but from within the cry of the Queens' echoed the castle. Queen Higurashi held onto her second child crying, repeating the words over and over again.

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry Kagome."

While the Queen cried for her child, baby Kagome stared up at her mother and laughed innocently, unknown to the hardship she was to go through when she grows older.
