Challenge!
Confession Time! I never read any of the Harry Potter books and I never grew into the movies either. Yeah yeah, punish me later, but I still read a lot of HP/DP crossovers. I haven't seen a story like this yet so here goes:
There are so many stories were Danny gets accepted into Hogwarts, but all you Harry Potter fans know that's not the only school. So what if he got shipped to other one? Say, the Durmstrang Institute for Magical Learning? And what's going to happen when his school goes to the Triwizard Tournament at Hogwarts, where the famous Harry Potter resides?
I you choose to accept, here are some requests* and info+ you might what to keep in mind. Mind you though, I am super ignorant so all the info I got was from the Harry Potter wiki and this is YOUR story, not mine. So feel free to ignore everything I list under this sentence and get your creative juices flowin'!
INFO:
Durmstrang is located somewhere in the northernmost regions of Norway or Sweden. I don't know how Danny winded all the way up there, but oh well.
It also does not admit Muggle-borns (although not all the students are prejudice and hold this belief). So how Danny is admitted/forced in this school- whether through legally, taking a loophole, or just plain accidental- is up to you.
In the movie it is an all-boys school, but in the books it is co-ed. Your story, your choice.
Unlike Hogwarts, Durmstrang is known for placing an emphasis on the study/practicing/teaching of the Dark Arts. Have fun with that.
REQUESTS/IDEAS (?):
*I prefer my Danny half-ghost, thank you very much. So yeah, he can be harboring his alter ego from the rest of the world or what-not. I don't know how you want his ghostliness to be effected by magic and vice versa or if it's even a problem, so it's up to you.
*Of course, interaction with the Golden Trio and/or other residences at Hogwarts. Don't care who, when, or why, but please let it happen.
*Food for thought: Danny is going with his school to see the tournament, but will he actually be in the tournament? Will he be chosen instead of his school representative, or will he be a victim just like Harry? Or will he not be chosen, but just use his powers to interact/watch the trials for (insert your reasons here)?
