Another Year

Another year and he is not here

Another year gone by with no happiness to it

Another year with him not here

Another year has come too close to the end without him here

Another year and still not a peep from where he is

Another year and we finally heard about him

Another year we will go without his bright white smile

Another year we will go out his big, warm embrace

Another year we will go without many nights of sleep because he is not here to tell us we are ok

Another year has be stretched into an eternity without him here by my side to get me through the tough things

Another year goes and comes even though he is not here I can feel him next to me everywhere I go making sure I am ok

Another year and I will always love you daddy no matter where you are like you say in your letters.
