A Fathers wish

I cannot belive how lost I've been

What has happened to me?

What is this feeling that seems but a memory?

Come with me . . . son

I didn't belive you exsisted,

The hope of you had died long ago,

Until I saw you,

Saw what you have become

My son you are, there is nothing that can deny it,

We are similar in many ways,

Both trained,

Both struggle,

Both men.

I cannot let my fate be yours

I will not,

For I . . . love you,

With all of my heart,

The emotion that I have not felt in decades is here.

I love you, son.
