Lizzie woke up at the sound of her alarm. It was Friday and she and Miranda had decided to wear matching outfits because not only was it Friday it was also the last day of eighth grade. She hopped into the shower and got ready in a flash with just enough time to grab a granola bar before she had to catch the bus.
But something went wrong.
"Matt, you little worm where'd you hide the granola bars?"
Matt walked in looking a little green, " I, I didn't hide them."
"Matt do not tell me you ate the whole box AGAIN, you know it just makes you sick when you do that."
Matt looking even greener clapped a hand to his mouth and ran out of the room towards the bathroom. Lizzie, shaking her head caught a glance of the bus pulling away from the front of her house. 'Oh great now I'll be late AGAIN' she thought' and ran out the door, she'd have to walk.
As she was walking around the corner she caught sight of a bot she'd never seen before walking down the street. He stopped at the street and she caught up with him and she saw he was very cute.
"Hey I'm Lizzie, are you new I've never seen you before," Lizzie asked cautiously wile secretly thinking 'I'd remember a guy that looks better than Ethan Craft!'
"Yeah I'm Jay." He replied.
" Oh I see, well Jay isn't it just perfect that you came the last day."
"Oh I'm not going to school today, like you said it's the last day and my parents figured, what the heck, they'll register me before freshman year starts."
"Oh you're goin to be a freshman too?? That's cool well I'll see you around Jay," Lizzie said smiling shyly not believing she'd just had the guts to talk to him.
As soon as Jay was out of sight Lizzie sprinted towards the school and made it to home room only seconds before the bell rang.
"Oh my god, Miranda you will absolutely not believe what just happened!"
