A/N This was just a little something I wrote trying to get rid of writer's block. I don't think this is the best one-shot I've written but oh well. I'm gonna write a songfic later, but for now...hope you enjoy!

And thanks everyone who had been faving and reviewing "Pieces of a Whole!" You all rock!

Pepper giggled as she and Tony jumped and rocked out on air guitars to the rock music playing on his Pod. For nearly an hour now they'd been goofing off, rocking out and joking around outside in the Rhodes' backyard, waiting for nightfall when there would be a total lunar eclipse.

The redhead laughed as Tony grabbed her arm and spun her around until they both got so dizzy they collapsed onto the grass. Then they got right back up and started "dancing" again. Tony even had brought a broom to use as their "guitar" and for Pepper to use as a weapon on him when he jokingly remarked her dancing looked like an elephant in an antique shop.

Tony hadn't been as attentive as usual as his full attention was on Pepper, so he didn't realize at first that his music had turned to more of a slightly slow song. The teens blushed as they heard the slow song begin to play, but Tony stepped closer to Pepper, wrapping his arms around her waist as she rested her arms on his shoulders. They swayed slowly back-and-forth to the music, at first refusing to look each other in the eyes, but then slowly raising their gazes from their shoes and locking eyes, electric blue meeting chocolate brown, and they found they couldn't look away.

Pepper tripped, catching her left foot behind her right, losing her balance, and stumbling backwards. Tony grabbed for her as she fell, catching her around the waist with one hand and grabbing her hand with the other, softening her fall against the side of the brick house. Pepper raised her eyes slowly to meet Tony's, realizing just how close his face was to hers. Tony blinked in surprise at how beautiful Pepper looked, her red bangs curving around her face and her huge brown eyes gazing back at him. Still with one hand on her waist and one holding her hand, he leaned closer to her and gently pressed his lips to hers, half afraid she would shove him away in disgust, but all she did was close her eyes and kiss back.

They were interrupted by Rhodey's reappearance, and they both leapt away from each other as though they were electrified. Ignoring suspicious looks from Rhodey, they took turns climbing up the ladder to the roof, Tony right behind Pepper to make sure she wouldn't fall. Then they laid out blankets on the roof and sat to wait for the eclipse. Tony and Pepper sat close beside each other, legs pulled to their chests, hands linked in the darkness where they thought no one could see them.
