James Sirius Potter was not a normal boy. He was the eldest son of Harry Potter, the "Boy Who Lived" and Ginny Weasley, captain of the Holyhead Harpies Quidditch team. He was a prankster, like his namesakes. An asset to the Gryffindor Quidditch team and top of his year, just like his namesakes.
Albus Severus Potter was not a normal boy. He was the youngest son and middle child of Harry Potter the "Chosen One" and Ginny Weasley, chaser for the Holyhead Harpies. He was a powerful wizard, like his namesakes. He was asset to the Potions class and got top marks in all of his classes, just like his namesakes.
Lily Luna Potter was not a normal girl. She was the youngest child and only daughter of Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley. She saw the beauty in everyone, just like her grandmother. She was a Potions prodigy, just like her grandmother. She had the healthy craziness of her godmother and had a plethora of hexes and insults to spare.
The Potter children were not normal, far from it. They had a dark secret that they struggled to conceal. They were closer because of it, and always protected each other in case the secret got out. They were not named for themselves. Their parents never cared enough to give them that privilege. They were named after the dead, and the dead they were.
James Potter, Sirius Black, Albus Dumbledore, Severus Snape, Lily Evans and Remus Lupin, namesakes of the Potter children, had the power to possess them, and they took the opportunity. Harry, of course, was overjoyed to be able to talk to the people closest to him again, and never saw the pain which it caused his children.
"What's in a name?" said William Shakespeare. The Potters knew the answer.
