Miley, Demi and Nick are all 17 and seniors in High School. Joe's 20 but doesn't go to college. Miley's dad left when she was young, and her brother Jackson's in college. Demi lives with Miley since her parents died in a car crash. Nick lives with his parents and Joe. His brother Kevin got married and moved away.
