WALTZING AN ORC-AH
I don't own the Lord of the Rings or the song "Waltzing Matilda." I don't even want to own Waltzing Matilda, but having my own Legolas would be nice ; ) Please review! (Also, please note in the second last line in the last paragraph where it says "And his ghost may be heard as it sings in the river there" I DO realise that means he is singing with the Maiden Nimrodel.)
Once jolly Meriadoc camped by the Nimrodel
Under the shade of a Mallorn tree
And he sat quite annoyed and waited for young Billy Boyd
"Who'll come a-waltzing an Orc-ah with me?"
Down came a Oliphaunt to drink at the Nimrodel
Up jumped the hobbit and grabbed him in glee
And he sang as he stowed him away in his tucker bag
"You'll come a-waltzing an Orc-ah with me'".
Up rode old Strider a riding his thoroughbred
Up rode the other hobbits- one, two, three
"Where's that Oliphaunt you've got in your tucker bag?",
"You'll come a-waltzing an Orc-ah with me".
But Meriadoc he up and jumped in the Nimrodel
Drowning himself by the Mallorn tree,
And his ghost may be heard as it sings in the river there,
"Who'll come a-waltzing an Orc-ah with me?"
For those of you who don't know the words to Waltzing Matilda (like I didn't) here they are:
Once a jolly swagman camped by a Billabong
Under the shade of a Coolabah tree
And he sang as he toiled and waited till his billy boiled
"Who'll come a-waltzing Matilda with me?" Down come a jumbuck to drink at the water hole
Up jumped a swagman and grabbed him in glee
And he sang as he stowed him away in his tucker bag
"You'll come a-waltzing Matilda with me'". Up rode the Squatter a riding his thoroughbred
Up rode the Trooper - one, two, three
"Where's that jumbuck you've got in your tucker bag?",
"You'll come a-waltzing Matilda with me". But the swagman he up and jumped in the water hole
Drowning himself by the Coolabah tree,
And his ghost may be heard as it sings in the Billabong,
"Who'll come a-waltzing Matilda with me?"
Thankyou and review!
