Parody of a Teen Dystopian

By: R. R. Lucero

It was a morning just like any other. Uniqua InterestingLastName was just like any other 16 year old girl. She had a color and of hair that was difficult to describe, but you will imagine as being close to your own. Her eyes were a deep blueish brownish green much like thousands of other girls her age but Uniqua's are interesting. It isn't clear why, they just are.

She has an average family with a pair of caring parents, in an average house, with an average younger sibling who she will probably have to save/feel responsible for at some point in this story.

Her world is completely normal and just like yours except for one thing: It's in a future where we have destroyed the planet/almost destroyed the planet in some way. Therefore the government has stepped up to keep the planet from not being destroyed by eliminating choices/feelings/something else that is a basic human right that our main character will have to fight for.

Nothing makes Uniqua all that intersting except perhaps her name and how everyone around her thinks she's special. She does not believe she's special in anyway. Actually she considers herself awkward/clumsy/ugly/average/boring. Somehow all of the guys she encounters consider her beautiful/brave/graceful/interesting/the greatest thing since betty white.

The story is going to start in an average day. We meet her family and friends. Slowly we come to realize while Uniqua is perfeclty content in this world that there's something sinister and wrong going on here. Even though it's been made clear uniqua is an ordinary teenage girl with no real skills whatsoever she's going to save the world.

Mostly she's going to end up at the right place at the right time, outraged by something that's just come to light and the people around her are going to rally up behind her. An adult really should be taking care of these problems, but for some reason only Uniqua is outraged enough/brave enough.

Throughout the story she's going to end up having like 7 guys fall in love with her. It will cause some tension, it will make uniqua seem more interesting and beautiful because of the way these guys talk about her/think about her/act around her. One will be really mysterious and aloof (that's the one she's going to fall in love with) and another will be really sweet and caring and charming. The other five will be barely noticable background characters with almost no personality as well.

At the end of 3 books (it's always a trilogy) Uniqua will save the world and end up with the dark mysterious aloof guy who treated her like garbage because of deep angsty feelings half the time but it's okay because they were saving the world and that's stressful buisness.
