A/N: So this is my hand on dramione. Please note that I'm not very well versed in demon lore and mannerisms from past eras. I also like to say that my opinion on life after death may be different than what you may think. Please keep an open mind and if you don't like what you read than don't read this.
Basically what I think about life after death is that your soul lives on. No one can make a different soul from yours but you may take on different roles in life. Like in this life you may become a teacher but in the next life you could be witch doctor or an alien even. So it's like you are an actor taking on different roles in the play we call the universe. But there will always be that one other soul who is like your other half. The one who makes you whole will always be with you.
Disclaimer: I don't own anything in the Harry Potter world. This beautiful place belongs to J.K. Rowling. The plot came to me in a dream so it may be strange.
A/N: This is an AU that takes place in the final year of Hogwarts and Voldemort's resurrection failed in the Goblet of Fire. Lucius Malfoy was imprisoned due to his actions of trying to bring back the Dark Lord.
"Please do not do this! Come back to me! I love you. I love you!" Tears stream down her face as the building burns around her. Clutching her dead lover into her bosom, her cries for him and their tragedy drown under the roar of the fiendfyre slowly encroaches the witch's protective circle. The culprits of the couple's demise had long left the scene leaving them to endure damnation.
All because you just had to love a mudblood. The witch looks up to see a shadow hovering outside her bubble. She glares darkly at this new presence.
"He was not… is not a mudblood. Never will be. Now be gone Demon." The shadow cackles with the creeping fire.
Oh? Is that a threat? What could you, a mere witch, do to me?
"I know ancient exorcist techniques that I am not afraid to use." The shadow hesitates.
Now, now, pet I am not here to cause you heartache. You have done that to yourself quite nicely.
"What is it that you want then, Demon?" The witch narrows her eyes, suspicion oozing off her.
You see I owe your family quite a lot.
"Impossible! We are of the Pure. We would never deal with the likes of you."
I would say your brother holds different beliefs.
"Thomas? No! What have you done?" She shrieks.
Absolutely nothing he didn't want. He has given me my strength back in return. However seeing as he has disappeared from this world, I wish to repay him somehow. What better way than helping his beloved blood traitor sister?
"I am no blood traitor! This whole matter of blood purity is absolute hog wash! I am not my brother. I will not fraternize with your kind." The witch cradles her lover again as if she did not speak with a creature of evil.
Even if fraternizing could lead to the revival of your lover's soul? The witch's head whips up so intensely her neck cracks. As you know, this type of fiendfyre will destroy anything inherently muggle. Completely and utterly destroyed. Your beloved will never go into the reincarnation cycle. In other words you will never see his soul roam this universe again.
"What? No! That's impossible. There's no such magic that can do that."
None that you are aware of, but the East certainly has their methods. The witch falls silent as she looks over her beloved. She sweeps his bangs away from his face, his angelic face that had been contorted into a silent scream.
"I…I want him to live. I mean be reincarnated… What's your price?" There is a loud crash as the fiendfyre slowly eats away the protective circle.
Nothing terrible, just your love.
"What?"
When you two reincarnate you will not be able to be with each other. Ever.
"What? No I will not agree to those terms!"
As I see it you do not have much time to dwell on this decision, pet.
"I wish to make a condition on your terms."
Well I suppose it would go with the whole repayment to allow you one condition. The shadow sounds bored.
"The separation cannot be forever bound. We will be able to be together again."
Oh? And how long do you suppose I should keep you two apart?
"A century."
Too short. A millennia.
"Never! Two centuries."
Half a millennia. That is my final decision.
"Fine! How do I know you will not go back on your word?"
My dear have you never heard of devil contracts? The terms and conditions cannot be changed once you and I agree on them. Do we have an accord? The fiendfyre finally breaks the protection circle burning parts of the witch's hair and the wizard's clothes.
"Yes! I, Cassiopeia Hermione Malfoy, agree to your demonic terms! Now save Draconis!" The witch cries out with her last breath as their bodies are consumed by fire. Their souls intertwine as only soul mates could before being torn apart violently.
"I love you, Draconis. Until we meet again, live." The Malfoy daughter disappears into the abyss of souls while her lover watches in confusion and despair.
"Mya! Where are you going? Come back! I love you!" He yells himself hoarse seeing his soul mate become nothing more than a speck among souls. "I will find you! We will be together again!"
"Draco? Draco? Dear? It's time to get up." A gentle voice sweeps over his body.
"Mya…?" He mumbles.
"Dear? Do wake up. You know I can't understand you when you mumble."
"Mother?"
"Yes dear. It's time to get ready to go to Hogwarts." The teenage boy groans. "Now hop to it. The Head Boy shouldn't be late on the first day of school." The Malfoy heir finally rises from his bed shaking off his strange dream to get ready for the new school year.
