One night, I was sitting down watching T.V with my 7 year old son, when i looked at the clock. It was 9:00. "It's time for bed buddy."
"Ok, daddy."
I picked him up and started to carry him upstairs. When he started to wriggle out of my arms i set him down and he went up by himself. I walked up behind him and tucked him into his bed. "Goodnight. See you later alligator." I said.
"After a while, Crocodile." He giggled.
I laughed and walked out of the room. I walked down the stairs and sat on the leather couch.
About 15 minutes later i thought a heard crying, and walked back upstairs to his room. When i walked in, he was sitting on his bed with no blankets. "What's wrong buddy?" I asked
"My blankets came off." He sniffled
He had a learning and growth disability, so i just patted his back and set his blankets back on his bed. I kissed his forehead and tucked him in again. As i walked toward the door, he said "Daddy wait!" He yelled. "Check under my bed please."
I walked over to his closet and check there first because I knew he would feel safer.
"Nothing there sweetie." i said
I walked over to his bed and knelt down.
When i looked under, I saw my son. "Daddy. Someone is sleeping in my bed." My son under the bed said.
