Apricot

Challenge: The Poetic Colours Challenge, HPFC

Prompt: Apricot

Pairing: Parvati/Blaise (my first time writing them)

Writing Style: Drabble

She floats down the stairs- a vision- and her long black her is let loose down her back. All eyes are on her, after all- she's the bride… but to him she'll always stay the aloof Patil who never gave him time of day until he begged and swore he had changed.

And now, she's his. All his.

She smiles proudly as she nears him, he feels his knees go week- she still does that to him, after all these years. And he smiles back, holding out a hand.

She lifts the wispy material of her pale apricot dress and glides over to him as time stands still. He can't help but admire how the soft colour sets her glittering black eyes ablaze and complements her deep cocoa skin.

She bats those long, thick eyelashes of hers and time starts up again.

'Care for a dance, Ms Patil, my wife?' he asks, smirking appreciatively at her.

'That would be MrsZabini…' she corrects, her eyes twinkling.

He's shocked for a moment- 'You're changing it? You'll take my surname?'

'Yes. It's my decision- so I'm proud of it.' she replies defiantly.

He says nothing; instead he smiles as her pulls her closer. She lays her head on his shoulder as they sway around the spot.

'Blaise, I love you,' she murmurs.

'I know love, I know.'
