The Association of Nondestructive Intelligences(ANI)

"Good evening Mr. Mayor" The four armed purple demon said politely. "I hope it's not a bad time? I discovered I had some free time tonight so thought I'd see if we could settle your concerns tonight"

"Come in, come in" The Mr. Wilkins assured the demon. "I was just going over some paperwork. I could use a break." pushing a side the paperwork he took the bowl of candied almonds of the desk and replaced it with one made from a human skull. "Please have a seat I'd be glad to settle this matter. But I thought the Association would be busy handling the Master tonight. He did after all refuse quite empathetically to have anything to do with you." Then with a sudden look of alarm the Mayor looked at the calender hanging on the wall. "I didn't get the date wrong did I? That could cause..."

"No, no you got the date right." The Demon assured him. The master of Aurelius did get out tonight and kill the Slayer but she was revived by one of her friends and killed the Master right back so the ANI left her and her friends to do the cleanup." The demon picked a round object from the bowl and placed it in his mouth. "Ah. Smoked Chinese. You always did have the best for your guests"

"It's just a matter of watching for opportunity. A chinese Casino on the outskirts of L.A was the most dreadful fire trap I've ever seen I'm surprised the fire department was willing to accept a bribe for not condemning it." Mr. Wilkins poured himself a glass of amber liquid and offered some to his guest who waved it away, taking another of the round objects from the bowl. "It was a public service really, insuring that no other buildings were harmed but it did allow me to get a few hundred Smoked Chinese eyeballs."

"Yes of course." The demon responded "But however delightful sitting here talking is we both have more important things to do ." With that the demon straightened up and pulled a small tape recorder from his pocket. Turning it on he began speaking into it G'ahrez for the Association of Nondestructive Intelligences meeting with Mr. Wilkins for himself. Subject of discussion Mr. Wilkins concerns on requirements for approval of his planned ascension" Placing the recorder on the table The demon gestured to Mayor Wilkins to start.

"Yes. Well section III paragraph 4 of the secondary cleanup requirements states that: physical evidence pointing to the proposed method of cover up must be provided for at least 90% of all bodies and witnesses numbering at least 20% of the total number of casualties with stories matching to no more then 70% and no less then 30% of particulars."

The mayor finished reading from a thick sheaf of documents and looked up at the demon "Yes that's correct. Standard post event ANI cleanup requirements for a class A ritual such as you're planning." The demon snorted "It's not as if we could allow general population to discover us"

"Yes I know it's standard but I was thinking. Considering that my confusion and misdirection spells are significantly over ANI requirements and that my planned cover up is an earthquake followed by gas explosion wouldn't 50% of the bodies and witnesses equaling 10% of the casualties be enough." He smiled charmingly "After all too much evidence can be just as bad as not enough."

"Well that's true" The Demon nodded. However consider that...

With that the two settled down to a pleasurable earning of haggling. Eventually settling on 75% of the bodies and witnesses equaling 15% of the total casualties.
