Oh goodness it smells amazing.
Blaine kept sneaking glances at the waffle that the boy sitting next to him was munching on, willing his tummy to not rumble in the quiet lecture theatre. His previous lecturer had ended late, and he didn't have the time to grab a sandwich from the canteen before going to his next one. So here he sat, half an hour left to the lecture, starving and trying not to drool over the waffle the boy was eating.
And maybe he was trying not to drool over the boy too, because holy crap, how did he not notice him before? He was gorgeous.
Flawless skin, blue eyes, coiffed hair and legs that seem to go on-
Oh no. Blaine froze in his seat, he knew that fluttery feeling.
Oh no no no no. He wrapped his arms around his tummy, and prayed to whichever of the Gods above to not be so cruel.
Please don't let my stomach growl now. Not while I'm sitting right next to a-
GROWL
Dangit, stupid mothafickle-
"Are you alright?"
Blaine turned to meet the gaze of the boy, and wow his eyes are even bluer now. He felt his face flush and he let out a shaky laugh, "yeah, I mean um, yes. Just, you know, a little hungry. My previous class ran late and I didn't get a chance to grab anything and your waffle smelt amazing, and- oh goodness I'm rambling aren't I. I'm so sorry, I should shut up now."
But the boy just gave him a look before letting out a laugh, "well, yes I could tell. That's loud noises your stomach can make."
"I am so embarrassed right now." Blaine groaned, hiding his face behind his hands.
"Don't be," He laughed again, "here, I bought an extra, you can have it."
Blaine peeked out from behind his hands to see the boy hand him a paper bag. "Are you sure? I can pay you back..."
"Kurt. My name's Kurt." He grinned, and Blaine couldn't help but feel the previous embarrassment wash away.
"Blaine." He smiled back, taking the bag from Kurt, "and please, let me pay you back."
"Well, how about having lunch with me after this lecture?" Kurt suggested, a hint of pink on his cheeks.
Blaine nearly choked on his waffle. "Wha-"
"I'm so sorry, it's been awhile since I did anything like this. That was weird wasn't it, oh god." Kurt rambled, looking away from Blaine and back to the front where the professor was droning on about neurons.
"It's not weird, I actually find it sweet." Blaine shrugged and smiled, taking another bite of his waffle, "and yes, I would like to have lunch with you after lecture."
Seeing Kurt perk up sent a wave of butterflies fluttering around in his tummy, and Blaine was pretty sure that it had nothing to do with how hungry he was.
