APWBDxGG- Moving In

I lay on my small bed in my room staring up at the ceiling and the slowly revolving fan decorated with silver moons. Eyes, drooping from exhaustion because the night before my dear little Ariana had gotten out of control again. I worried for her safety. She was my whole world, sure I had my mother but she was cruel and I wanted nothing to do with her and my brother Aberforth kept mostly to himself. Mother always seemed annoyed with her, she just didn't understand. I was constantly filled with grief over Ariana, many times her screams could be heard from the basement yet I didn't know how to help her but one day I would succeed to make it better. The magical power she had in her couldn't be controlled like ours so she tried to keep it in but it would often burst when my mother was around, causing havoc. I swear, if she wasn't my mother I might kill her. She would never be a kind woman in my books, no matter what the neighbors said. It was all her lies and fake smiles that got everyone on her side.

Sighing I got up to look out my window which overlooked the busy muggle homes. I stared, my brain completely blocking out every sound making it a low humming. Subconsciously my hand ran through my hair as it always did when I was stressed or bothered. I took another glance downwards and immediately noticed a group of people discussing the house next to mine, they were to move in. There were two older people who must have been the parents and straddling along behind them looking nervous and in as bad of a shape as me, was a boy. Looking at his height, weight and dress choice I guessed that he was about the same age as I was. I watched the boy and couldn't help but notice that he was strikingly handsome. Never before had I thought about my preference, my sister kept me busy and I had never had a real boyfriend or girlfriend. It was only then that I noticed I was staring and even more surprisingly, the boy was looking back at me. I blushed and quickly turned away from the window.

i stayed in my room mostly all day except for the occasional bathroom brake and to get my dinner from the kitchen. For some strange reason I could not wrap my thoughts around anything other than the mysterious new boy that had just moved in. For the first time in weeks I fell asleep peacefully.

I stretched my arms over my head, let out a large yawn and headed towards the window. Bright light always woke me up. As my eyes adjusted to the golden glow a blur appeared in the window across from mine in the other house. I rubber my eyes and let out a barely audible gasp. the guy in the room was no other than the boy that had so quickly caught my attention. I didn't until now though notice that he was practically nude. Blush came up to my cheeks yet I didn't look away. God, what was happening to me? I was acting like a total pervert. My head quickly snapped away yet I glanced back once more to see if he had noticed me. Hoping that he didn't I moved in front of the window again. unfortunately as I looked he was standing in front of his own window as well; staring right back. thankfully he had put on pants but his chest was still exposed. A wide grin formed across his face when he saw me and his hand raised in a friendly wave. I was shocked yet my hand responded in an also friendly wave. he motioned for me to open my window as he had done and I gladly complied. Heavily I breathed out, the smell of the morning dew was calming. We stood in silence for a while; curiously but not obviously I peered into his room not noticing he was doing the same. As if on cue both our eyes opened in shock and we exclaimed "YOU'RE A WIZARD TOO!" I stared into his shocked eyes and he stared into mine then a sudden outburst of laughter exploded from both of us. I hadn't actually laughed in years, this would be a very eventful summer.
