It was a warm summer night. The moon was shining and lighting up the shores of an island in the middle of the ocean.

There, sitting by the lighthouse, was a brown haired boy. His posture gave away his feeling of insecurity, brown eyes blankly staring at the waves crashing against the shore.

The boy was in deep thought. To anyone who didn't know him, he would probably look like a love-struck teenager resting after a tough day. But, the truth was much deeper than that. Everyone on the island knew what it was about, but they didn't talk about it. It wasn't a secret - It wasn't kept hidden. Only, out of fear, nobody talked about it.

That didn't bother the brunette. On the contrary - For once he didn't want to deal with all the people around him. Friends, acquaintances, colleagues. He just sat there under the moonlight, wondering why things had to be the way they were. Why he was going to be left alone.

He heard footsteps behind him, but he didn't need to turn around to see who it was. A raven-haired boy stood there silently, watching the other with sadness and guilt in his eyes. He turned his gaze from the brunette and stared into the now calmer ocean.

For a long time they didn't move, or even exchange words or glances. All they needed was to feel the other one's presence to know - there was going to be regret, pain, guilt and betrayal. All those feelings accompanied by one greater then any - love.

"Jun."

The brunette's voice broke at saying that one word. His lover's name. Tears were shining in his eyes just like the stars in the night sky above them.

The said lover just closed his eyes and bent his head, his heart filled with guilt and remorse. Both were silent. No words needed to be said, but at the same time, the silence was empty. It just wasn't enough.

"Why?"

Turning his head for the first time, the brunette looked at the raven-haired boy's onyx eyes, his own showing sadness and betrayal. Their eyes locked to each other's like so many times before, only this time it was different. This time, they were broken. Broken under the stars.

Without a reply, the addressed boy just sighed and looked away, afraid to admit it and break his lover's heart in even more pieces.

"You know why."

The brunette looked into the sky, his eyes focused on the bright moon, so far away from them. He couldn't face it. Couldn't face the loss that was about to experience.

"I wish I knew. I wish I could understand."

A single tear rolled down his face.

"Judai..."

Looking into each other's eyes, the boys shared all that was left unsaid. The tie between their souls, in heaven and hell. Far away or close, it would keep them together - one way or another.

Love.
