DISCLAIMER: I do not own the characters used here, just the story.
A/N: Umm, if anyone reads this, it is a Midnark (from CrazygurlMadness, or CM) poem! I gave it a try, and I'm trying to practice my poetry skills. It is... I don't know what this would be called, a long sonnet? But, it does rhyme, so it isn't prose. And it's drabble-like... Well, enjoy it and PLEASE leave a review.
Darkness: A poem
by mrtysh
I thought I wanted him.
His warmth and enlightening touch...
Better than the rest of them,
I loved him so terribly much!
-
But it was all a lie,
he left with his princess;
leaving me in this dark world of mine
with no way to confess.
-
Suddenly I saw him.
The adverse of the light.
Deeply tanned skin;
eyes shining with strength and might.
-
Many times he was mistaken
for his other self.
I do hope he's not taken;
what a handsome elf...
-
It was then that our eyes met,
ever so thoughtfully.
The feeling of content
washing over me.
-
My name he whispered,
My hand he grasped.
His name I muttered,
His hand I squeezed.
-
To me it felt peculiar,
to feel like this in an instant.
The reliable warmth, the security...
of the darkness I felt.
A/N: The hyphens are to separate the stanzas. I hope it worked out okay. Well... R&R!!!
