If anyone can guess which of my fics this is from... Um, I'm afraid I actually have a limited number of cookies, actually. But anyway, this is my first attempt at a poem for our pair. I hope it turned out well. I never can tell with my own writing. And the spaces? Not working properly. So, that's why the lines.

Twisting about her endlessly,

As she commands their weight;

Moonlight wrapped in shadows,

With feral child-like grace.

--

He watches as she dances there,

The only one who knows

This daughter of the darkness,

And where her wanderings go.

--

Looming in the silence there,

He does not disturb her dance.

Watching fabric sway just so,

Encompassing her stance.

--

The keeper of her secrets dark,

The playmate in her game-

Often he just watches her,

Afraid she'll slip away.

--

This killer in the darkness,

Blood still upon his hands,

Waits for this child patiently

To join him in deathly lands.

--

His one and only truly friend,

Obsession's kindest way.

He watches her dance all alone,

Caught in the music's sway.

--

No danger to this human girl,

No cruelty in his smile.

She makes this monster something good,

If only for a while.

--

And like this specter, all around,

The shadows too delight,

As she dances with the curtains drawn-

And waits again for night.
