The fire was roaring, just like the cheers from the other bonfires. Even though the whole galaxy was celebrating, all the planets combined could not match the amount of triumph on this small forest moon. And in the middle of the party sat Luke, Leia, and Han. Leia checked her watch.

"It's 2:00 am. We've talked about where we grew up, things we remember about the Alliance, and Luke went into a very detailed lecture about the new Jedi Order. Now what?"

"I have no idea," replied Luke, "why don't you tell us something about Alderaan."

"Alright. I do remember a story from Alderaan. When I was little, some older children had told me this to scare me. It didn't really, though. It just got me thinking."

Han finally spoke.

"Are you sure you didn't get scared," he said with a smirk on his face.

"Do you want to hear the story or not? Because I'm sure Luke would enjoy telling you the history of kyber crystals."

"Alright, alright. There's nothing to get so upset about."

"Fine, then I'll begin the story. So, there was this soldier. From the Clone Wars. Legend says he was persecuted for betrayal of the Republic. His ghost was supposed to wander Alderaan."

"Kinda short for a story," said Han.

"Well, I'm sure Luke knows some kind of legend."

"I do, actually. Aunt Beru would always tell it to me. Strangely, if I mentioned it to Uncle Owen he would go silent and stare at me in a strange way. It goes something like this: there was a slave woman-"

"I thoughts slavery was outlawed in the galaxy," Leia replied.

"No. At least, not at the time. Anyway, she had a son, who went on to become a Jedi. This woman missed him more than anything. So, ten years later he came back, but she was kidnapped by Tusken Raiders. When he found her, she was dying. Her ghost wanders Tatooine. When I would ask what happened to the son, Aunt Beru would give me the same reaction as Uncle Owen. Strange, right?"

Chewbacca growled in agreement.

Actually, I have a story, too.

"Really? You have a story?"

Don't be so surprised, Han. This one's from Kaysshkk. There was a Jedi Master, I forgot his name, but he was killed by Clone troopers in the Invasion of Kaysshkk. He returned as a force ghost, I think. That's it. I know it's short, but I loved hearing it as a cub. I always liked hearing about the past.

"How have I not heard that story until today? I know you better than anyone!" Han fumed.

"Y'know, I have a story myself."

Luke, Leia, and Han turned around to see the force ghost of Anakin Skywalker. Luke looked especially shocked.

"You, of all people, have a story?"

"Yes, yes I do, Luke. Don't act so surprised. Let's just say there are lots of stories from my past, some I like, some I want to forget" said Anakin, taking a seat on a log, next to several Ewoks.

"Well, let's hear it" replied Leia.

"Have you guys ever heard the story of Qui-Gon Jinn?"

"I have," said Luke, "Yoda told it to me. He was Obi-wan's old master. If I remember correctly, Darth Maul killed him. Qui-Gon, like Yoda and Ben and you, came back as a force ghost."

"Correct. Would you like to hear another legend?"

Everyone nodded their heads up and down to say yes. And so Luke, Leia, Han, Chewbacca, and Anakin traded stories until the sun rose.
