Light
Light
Light shown behind her as she felt a pinch in her shoulder. She blinked, confused.
"There's something on your shirt." What was it?
Darkness followed, wrapped around her like a blanket. It felt strange but safe. In an instant, the dark gave way to light, bright and blinding. It hurt more than the dark. She wanted to go back to where it was warm and safe.
She could see, far beneath her, grief and anger. Whatever had happened, she'd been wrong. It should not be safe. Not the dark. But the light pulled her, took her away. Stole her.
