I swore I wasn't gonna put an author's note here. Oh well xD This was inspired by a trip to Leavenworth with my school's German Club~ I dunno why I thought you needed to know that.

"Ohmigosh, Sadie, look at these!" Katie squealed, pointing to a display. "They have aaaallll the cutest Silly Bandz here!"
Sadie ran over to Katie, clutching a chubby plush lobster to her chest. "Omigosh, those are like, sooooo cute!"
The girls chattered excitedly, admiring the display and trying to decide whether they should get the zoo animals or the farm animals. They finally agreed to get both when Sadie gasped and pointed to-
"Hello Kitty!"
"OMG, I love Hello Kitty!" Katie clapped and grabbed the package.
"Ohmigosh, me too!"
"Oh, no!" Katie looked at Sadie sadly. "I don't have enough money!"
Sadie looked through her pockets and shopping bags. "Neither do I. Maybe we could put back one of the others?"
"Aww, but the pigs and the lions are super cute! How could we possibly just get one of them?"
"I don't know!"
Katie and Sadie fretted over their predicament for God knows how long until they reached a conclusion.
"We can't get the Hello Kitty ones." Katie glanced at her friend, who kept looking sadly at the Silly Bandz display.
"But what if they're, like, limited edition or something?" Sadie argued. "What if we come back and they're gone and we can never get them again?"
Katie patted Sadie on the shoulder. "I'm sure they'll be here next week when I get paid."
Sadie perked up when she heard that. "Okay! I'm gonna go pay for these!" She skipped off to the counter.
Katie looked at the Silly Bandz one last time and was struck with an idea.
Sadie was standing just by the door when Katie paid for her stuffed tiger. When the girls left the store, Katie reached into her pocket and pulled out some rubber bands. She handed a blue one to Sadie.
"Hey...this isn't-"
Katie grinned. "It is!" She held out her arm and showed Sadie the blue and red Silly Bandz on her wrist. One was shaped like Hello Kitty's head - exactly like the one she'd given Sadie.
The girls giggled and locked their arms together as they walked back home in the snow.
