Broken in of itself is an explanatory word. Nikki only uses it when describing machines, ships, cars, things she can fix. She only uses it to describe herself when talking about her dad's death, or MECH's experimentation, or Luis. That's stuff she doesn't talk about. It hurts too much, and leaves her, well...broken.

She does express her feelings, and boy, can she be brutal with it! Tick her off, and she won't hesitate to let you know. Luis? Well, he better hope they never come face-to-face, because Nikki would have no qualms about busting every joint in his body. And breaking his nose on top of it.

But, since she doesn't fancy ruining her knuckles via punching bag for days on end, and Luis isn't there, she opts for songs. 'Cowboy Casanova,' 'Undo It,' 'Picture to Burn,' and 'Chainsaw' were a few of the songs on her 'Breakup Playlist.'

Yes, she had a playlist. She dared anyone to mention it. They didn't. Shocker.

Well, the humans didn't. The 'Bots, on the other hand...

There weren't songs like that on Cybertron, so the purpose of songs like those were kinda lost on them. Some asked, some didn't, some looked the songs up, some got it, some didn't. Bee asked. The 'Bots read his reaction when he heard her singing those songs, and interpreted it as 'She's upset.'

Jazz passed by the hangar, where she was working, and heard her singing one of the songs. She sounded ticked. He poked his helm in. She was using a bit more force than necessary, but it wasn't damaging the tools or her ship. Somehow.

"Now your photos don't have a picture frame, and I never say your name, and I never will. And all your things? Well, I threw 'em in the trash, and I'm not even sad. Now you only have yourself to blame for playing all those stupid games. You're always gonna be the sa-ame. Oh, no, you'll never change! You stole my happy, you made me cry. Took the lonely and took me for a ride. And I wanna un-un-un-un-undo it."

That pretty much spelled it out, plain and simple.

"Nik?" he asked. She jumped a bit and turned around.

"Sorry!" she shouted. She turned the music down. "Had that up way too loud..."

"You sound mad," he stated, leaning against the hull of the Xanthium. She gave him a wry chuckle.

"That's a mild way to put it," she replied. "Before you ask, Luis is out, he's back, and as usual, he's gunnin' for me. That kinda makes me mad. Just a little, y'know?"

Now it was his turn to chuckle. "Only a little?" She smirked. "Yeah, I do. Some things, I'd rather they jus' go away."

"I could make him go away, but nobody will let me," she pointed out, waving her wrench a little. She went back to working on her ship. "I could fix this up, nice and tidy," she added, more to herself than him, and in a more hostile tone.

"What'd this guy do?" he asked. "I mean, Megsy only tried to off ya, and ya seem to get along jus' fine wit' 'im."

"I resent that nickname!" Megatron shouted as he walked by the hangar door. Jazz waved him off.

"He broke my heart," Nikki explained simply. She saw his slightly shocked look. "I'm not gonna pussyfoot around it."

"And that's what these songs're for?" he asked.

"Yep," she answered, tightening a bolt down way too hard.

"Why?"

She stopped for a minute, then looked at him and said "I guess 'cause broken is hard to describe otherwise."
