My first ItaHina one-shot! Whoo hoo! Hope you all enjoy!

Once upon a time in the hidden village of the leaves, there lived a young girl. She was Huyuga Hinata, 15 years old and shy to the very core.
All the people in her village expected her to be like most of the girls there. Boy crazy and loud. They were wrong. She was quite innocent, the exact opposite of the girls in her village.
One day, Hinata went to buy some apples. On her way back from the market, she saw a boy who looked a few years older than her. It was Uchiha Itachi, pretty boy extraordinaire and his pet crow, kuro.
When she saw them, she could not help but stare. Itachi must have felt her staring for he had turned around to face her. When their eyes met, a light blush (very, very light in Itachi's case) adorned both their faces.
Hinata quickly turned around and ran off, embarrassed that she had been caught staring.
Unknown to the two of them, they had both been thinking the same thing.
'Cute.'
A villager had seen the interaction (or lack thereof) between the two. Said villager ran off to spread the news which spread like wild fire. Now everyone thought that there was something going on between the resident pretty boy and the shy wall-flower.
The next day, Hinata was confused as to why the villagers were giving her sly looks. Whenever she went out, they would stop and stare. Trying her best to ignore them, she went on her way to where Itachi was usually found.
Sure enough, Itachi was there with his pet companion. Seeing them, Hinata hid, wanting to watch them from a safe distance. She continued to spy on them for two whole weeks like that while Itachi was hoping to see her again.
Finally, Hinata decided to go to Itachi and tell him what her heart wants. Mustering up all her courage, she walked off to where Itachi was usually found.
The villagers, seeing the serious look on Hinata's face, wondered what was wrong. A couple of her friends decided to follow her, their curiosity getting the best of them.
Itachi saw Hinata walking towards him and his heart raced. Here was the shy maiden that he had longed to see.
Hinata stopped in front of him. She looked up and Itachi saw the same cute blush run across her face.
" Is there anything you need?" he asked, trying hard to keep his voice from cracking.
Hinata opened her mouth to say something but stopped and poked her fingers together. She looked side ways, too shy to utter a word.
Meanwhile, Hinata's friends had hid themselves in a nearby bush.
One of them asked, "is she gonna confess?"
Another replied, "could be. See how shy she is!"
Someone offered, "popcorn anyone?"
And another shushed him by saying, "Shhhh! She's about to speak!"
Sure enough the person was right. Hinata took in a deep breath. Itachi leaned forward in anticipation and the friends in the bushes held their breath.
Finally, the long awaited words were spoken.
" Can I play with your pet crow?"
HAH!
