One Wish

Author Note: This is the night before Christmas.

Naruto and Hinata had been friends since childhood years. Hinata, like every year had given Naruto a small token of love. But, like every year, he gave nothing back to her. This year, she had hoped, that Naruto would give her something, but like always, she received nothing. So, Hinata decided to take a walk, and came up on the park.

She went to a swing, and sat down, and thought. Hinata looked up into the stars, and saw a shooting star. As the shooting star zoomed by, Hinata made a wish. The fact of actually the wish may come true, Hinata walked home, and went to bed.

Next day…..

Hinata woke up as her younger sister, Hanabi, ran down the stairs, in a hurry to open Christmas gifts. After last night's wish, Hinata was reluctant to get out bed, because it was early. She rolled over to the other side of the bed, and looked at the clock. It read, 5 am. Hinata groaned, and went back to sleep.

A few minutes later…..

Hanabi ran into Hinata's room, and jumped on Hinata's bed, desperately trying to get Hinata to wake up, because the family tradition was that everyone in the household had to be up, and where the tree was, before any presents were opened. Hinata sat up, and rubbed the sleep out of her eyes, and slowly followed Hanabi down the stairs to where the Christmas tree stood. The Hyuuga clan opened their gifts, but Hinata opened her slowly, and didn't make an uproar about what she got. While Hinata watched her younger sister tear into her gifts, the door rang, and Hinata went to go see who was at the door. When Hinata opened the door, she saw Naruto at the door. Naruto asked, "Hinata, would you like to take a walk with me?", Causing Hinata to fall unconscious. Naruto picked up Hinata, and ran into the living room. Arriving in the living room, Naruto said, 'Hinata needs help."

Hiashi said, "You are such an asshole "

Naruto gave him a filthy look, and ran up the stairs, barging into rooms, until he found Hinata's. Fortunately, the first room he barged into was Hinata's. He laid Hinata on her bed to rest.

When Hinata awakens……

Hinata awakens to be on her bed, with Naruto sitting at the foot of her bed. She quietly changes her clothes, and gently shakes Naruto awake. Naruto awakens, and looks sleepily up at Hinata, and immediately stands up. Hinata whispers in Naruto's ear, "Do you still want to go for a walk with me?" Naruto nods, and they exit Hinata's room, go down the stairs, and walk out of the front door.

They walk quietly and slowly down the snow covered lanes, until Hinata stops. Naruto looks questionably at Hinata, and her eyes look up, and Naruto looks where Hinata's eyes point at, and he notices mistletoe. When Naruto realizes it is mistletoe, it is too late, because Hinata had already put her lips on Naruto's. Naruto's hands slide down her form to her waist, and Hinata's hands go around his shoulders. Kakashi passes by, and does a double take, and continues on.

Naruto and Hinata did not know, or care that Kakashi had seen them together. Hinata's wish had come true. She did receive a gift from Naruto. His love.
