Eyes

Disclaimer: I do not own Naurto; I don't think I ever will. That's why I'm writing this fanfic.

---

Hinata was running, sad, she could not quite comprehend what was going on around her. She just wanted to get out, to get away. She had failed. Again. Hinata felt as though her

father would kill her if she did anything even minutely wrong, which is why she was running. Her training had fallen short of his expectations, and he had yelled at her. Again. It

seemed as though it was becoming routine. She hated it, she wanted it to stop. So instead of taking a walk like she said she was going to, she planned to run away. Sure they'd find

her eventually, but she hoped it wouldn't be for a while.

---

Naurto was off to ask Sakura out. Again. He knew that he might be turned down, but he thought that there was a good chance that this time she would say yes. This time he had

flowers. He closed his eyes, imagining him going up to Sakura's door, asking her to be his girlfriend, and her seeing the flowers. Her eyes would go big, and she would say "oh!

Naurto! Those flowers are beauti-" His daydream had been interrupted by him running into something. It wasn't hard, so he decided that it wasn't a wall. He opened his eyes to find

that both he and a girl figure were both on the ground. He yelled out the first thing that popped into his mind. "Hey! Sakura! Sorry for running into you!" Only to see that it was the

shy Hyuuga girl that he had run into instead. "Oops, sorry Hinata, I thought you were Sakura." Naurto replied, wishing that it really was Sakura that he had run into. He got up, and

deciding to be nice, since it was probably his fault that they had run into each other, Naurto held out his hand to help Hinata up. Even though she tried to keep her head down,

Hinata looked up to see that Naurto was trying to be nice. As she grabbed his hand it happened. They accidentally looked into each others eyes. Naurto saw in the young girl's

eyes more than he wanted to know. He saw the anger, the grief, and the sadness that came from her father's yelling. He saw the will to escape, to leave, and to never come back.

But more than anything else, he saw all of the love that had been trapped in her throughout all the years. The love for him that she wanted to share, but didn't have the confidence to.

---

Hinata looked in Naurto's eyes and immediately blushed. She saw him go through a wide range of emotions. What Hinata first saw was slight annoyance, probably because he

had been knocked down. But then she saw sadness, then a frustration of not understanding, then a realization. They both stood up, blushed, and unsure of what to do next, they

both headed back towards their homes.

---

Hinata woke up early the next morning, to hear a small knock come from the front door. She quietly went to open the door, finding no one there she looked down. There she saw

the flowers that Naurto had been carrying when they ran into each other the day before. She picked them up with a small smile, and noticed that it had a note attached.

You have pretty eyes,

-Naurto

Well, that's it for the story; it's my first one, so please tell me how I did. Also,if I misspelled any wordsplease tell me,I am horriable at spelling, and my spell checker (on microsoft word) says that all the characters names are spelled wrong,so that its't much help. (I know, to be a fan of a show, and yet to not know how to spell the characters names, it's sad. However, It's mostly only the last names...)
