"Mom, are you here?" Jenny inquired as she descended slowly into her creator's laboratory.

A noise came from near the place where her sisters, XJ-1 through XJ-8, were stored. It sounded like a metal shop, and was interrupted every once in awhile by the clacking of a keyboard.

"It sound like Mom is building a new robot, but why would she do that?" XJ-9 muttered to herself, "Get a hold of yourself Jenny, you're not obsolete yet! She's probably just repairing one of my sisters; a lot of equipment was damaged when the Cluster invaded."

Jenny flew to the source of the noise, a small room hidden behind the storage site of her sisters that had, formerly, been hidden behind a hologram that was now deactivated. She was dismayed at the fact that none of her sisters were missing. She peeked into the room and saw that her creator was indeed, working on another robot.

"Mom?" Jenny said jealously "Who is that?" pointing at the inactive robot in the center of the room.

Ms. Wakeman turned swiftly to see her metallic daughter.

"Jenny! I… she…. She's your……. Twin…" Ms. Wakeman responded

"My twin?" Jenny mused, her interest now peaked. "But she looks nothing like me, and she hasn't been activated yet…"

"Yes, well… When I was building you I had assumed that you would be another failure like the last eight prototypes, so I started to design XJ-10 alongside you, I would update her and program her as I saw what problems you encountered and add the solutions to her programming and design." Jenny's mother explained "She won't be complete for a few more years; a crucial portion of her programming is unfinished, you see"

XJ-9 looked upon her sister in wonder. When XJ-10 is finished she would not be shelved like her sisters, she would be free to do what she wanted, and she couldn't wait.
