What exactly is a memoir? A stream of non-fictional consciousness? This memoir is supposed to be my story told as is; not an embellished creation. But what is the point? My life as is, is so…blasé. There are a few thrills, but nothing worth reading. Not in its true form at least; that is where this story comes into play. This is my life, told through the eyes of my alter-ego:
The Lion Tamer
That is me; I am the Lion Tamer. Tamer of beasts and mythical beings. It is my privilege; no, it is my duty to tame those who pose a threat to the lesser beings. I must take the sadistic lumps of clay and mold them into something society can handle. If not everyone who comes into contact with them may suffer a horrible fate. I too must be careful; for even the tamer is not exempt from the Lion's fury.
The Lion; the Lioness. The beautiful, majestic creature I call my Lioness. She is the reason I live. Without her I would have no purpose. For what is a writer without his story? A painter without his paint? A play without its lead. Although the Lioness brings me much pleasure; she also causes me much pain. Through her actions; her blatant disregard of anyone other then herself; her razor sharp claws. She is capable of emasculating even the toughest man with a single whip of her harsh tongue. But you take the good with the bad; for if we never felt bad, then we would never know what good is.
How good it is while we have it. How much we miss it when it's gone…
Love will make you do crazy things; it will make you act like a fool.
I am the biggest fool of all.
Please read, enjoy, and review. Any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
Thanks!
