A/N: Yeah, so. This was completely random. The snow is finally melting where I am, so yeah. I'm happy. And H:LOTS isn't mine.
It snowed on Christmas morning. I had the feeling that it had been going on steadily since earlier on, but when the shift ended, the little white flakes were everywhere. We walked outside and almost immediately, a snowball fight ensued. It only lasted for a few minutes, though. All of us had places to be and families to go to. I left headquarters feeling slightly more cheerful than I had before.
All the lights were on inside by the time I finally got to Abby and Rose's place. I had no doubts that the kids already had them up and moving, which, in itself, wasn't surprising. What I found when I moved to go inside, on the other hand, definitely was. In front of me on the walk leading to the front door were two snow figures blocking the way.
One of them was wearing Abby's State's Attorney ID. The other was wearing my shield.
