Hermione's Gum

Hermione decides late in the night that she has a craving for gum. But if Harry has some, then… how is she going to get it from him?

It was late at night, and Hermione Granger was not able to sleep. She eventually decided that she couldn't, and finally went down to the Gryffindor common room. As she flipped onto the overstuffed couch, she fell onto her best friend, Harry Potter.

"Holy--- hey, Hermione," he said nervously. Hermione's face turned bright red. "Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry, I---" she stammered. Harry shook his head. "It's okay," he said. "That was just really sudden." Harry and Hermione had an awkward silence between them before Hermione got off of Harry and Harry sat up straight. "I want gum," Hermione said suddenly. "Really, really, really, really, really bad. I think that's why I can't sleep."

That's when Hermione noticed it--- they both noticed it at the same time. Harry's jaw froze. "YOU HAVE SOME!!!" Hermione cried. "Give it to me!!" Hermione tackled Harry, knocking him to the floor. "I need it!"

Harry shook his head. "Somehow, I just don't think so," he said simply. Hermione whined. "Why not? Please???????????" she begged. "Nope," Harry said.

"What do I have to do for you to give it to me?" Hermione asked. "I need that gum!!"

Harry laughed. "Yeah, but my slobber's all over it," he said. "I don't care!!" Hermione shouted.

"Please???" she complained. "I really can't sleep without that gum!"
Harry patted her on the back. "I guess you'll be up all night, then," he said.

"What do I have to do to get it?" Hermione asked sweetly, showing her big brown eyes to Harry.

Harry looked at her for a minute or so. Hermione finally jumped him. She planted her lips on his. After about five minutes, she released him. "I can finally sleep!" she said, relieved. "Thanks, Harry!" she added before kissing him on the cheek and running upstairs. "What?" Harry whispered to himself. He moved his tongue around his mouth. "Great. What she didn't know was that there's more gum where that came from."
