A Story of a Girl
"I don't know what to do anymore," Ino Yamanaka said to herself. She was walking in the dark around Kohona when she heard a rustle in the bushes.
"Who's there?" she called out, preparing herself for an attack.
"Relax, it's just me," a playful voice said. Kiba came out from behind the bushes.
"Why were you in the bushes?" Ino asked.
"I was walking Akamaru earlier, when I realized that I dropped my good luck charm," he told her, holding up a ring on a chain. Kiba placed it around his neck.
Ino slightly smiled, "I never knew you were I touch with your feminine side."
"Hold on, Yamanaka, it was my dad's so don't get the wrong idea."
Ino looked at him intently. She knew that Kiba's dad died on a mission when he was 9.
"Now you're all upset; don't be. What are you doing out here anyways? You can get hurt," Kiba told her.
Ino shrugged, walking away, "Does it matter?"
Kiba ran up to her, walking with her, "What now?"
"Everything I do, I screw up. I'm no help to my friends when it comes to missions. Now Asuma's gone and if I just- if I might have known a little more medic-nin or put more effort into it maybe, maybe I could have been able to save him," she said starting to cry. Kiba gave her a hug, taking her by surprise. She was tense at first then she started sobbing into his chest.
"It's not your fault," Kiba soothed, "you did everything you could."
"Why are you being so nice to me?" Ino asked him, realizing he smelled really good and not like dog. Kiba didn't answer her, but kept rubbing her back. Ino lifted her head and met his eyes.
"I guess its because I really like you," Kiba said, leaning in toward her face. He stopped inches away from her lips. He looked at her, realizing how much she changed. Her look was way sexier. She ditched the body wrap, showing her toned stomach. She grew her short hair out to the longest it's ever been, her bright blue eyes shining bright against the glow of the moon. Ino was thinking about how hot he was, too, with his scruffy hair and cute little teeth fangs. He didn't wear that bulky jacket but traded it in for the black, slimmer one, showing his muscular body.
"How much do you like me?" Ino asked him, fidgeting with his necklace.
Kiba looked at her, "This much." He gave her a kiss on the forehead.
Ino pulled away, "what was that?"
"Ino, I like you, but I don't want to kiss you if you just want to kiss me because your feeling sorry for yourself."
She looked at him, bewildered, "What?"
"Just never mind. I'm going to leave now and just – catch you later," Kiba said walking away.
"Everything I do gets ruined," Ino said and walked for another 15 minutes sitting on the bench that leads to the exit of the village.
"I like you a lot, too, Kiba," Ino whispered looking down at her feet, when someone sat next to her.
"How much to you like me?" Kiba asked.
Ino looked at him. She didn't even hear him come by her. Then she smiled.
"This much," Ino said kissing his forehead.
"This much," kissing his left cheek.
"This much," kissing his right cheek.
"This much," she said kissing his nose. Ino paused.
"And this much," Ino told him, kissing him on the lips softly. Kiba grabbed the back of her head and pressed her more, deepening the kiss.
"You're not a screw up," Kiba replied, putting his forehead to hers.
"Thanks, Kiba," Ino said and she kissed him again.
