Acting
Raoul paused, looking back at the sound of shattering glass. A shadow passed over his eyes briefly. Glancing down at the petite brunette beside him, he smiled, a sad expression. "I must go back. I'm sorry, Christine, but I could not leave anyone to the fate he faces. Go up this hallway. Eventually you will find the door that leads out."
Christine looked up him, her eyes wide with fright. She raised her hand, entwining her fingers into the cloth of his shirt. "You can't, Raoul! He will kill you…" She looked down, closing her eyes against the tears. She didn't see the tender smile passing over the man's face.
"Don't worry. I would never let any man kill me. Now I must go. Don't cry. You will see me again. I promise," he murmured, raising her face up to his. Kissing her gently, he stepped away, turning to go back to the Phantom.
Phantom stormed through the small area, picking up loose papers and everything else he would be taking with him. Hitting his leg on the side of the organ, he cursed. "Damn that boy!" He hurried, hiding his important possessions in a small, well-hidden room close to his lair. Hearing splashing in the distance, he froze. Turning around slowly, he grabbed the sword lying close to his side, getting into position. He relaxed slightly when he saw Raoul. "Hello, boy."
"How did I do?" The boy grinned, moving closer to the taller man. Reaching the organ, he leaned against it, crossing his arms over his chest.
Erik smirked. "You missed your true calling. You should have been an actor." He cocked an eyebrow. "What did you have to tell her?"
Raoul grinned, uncrossing his arms and picking up an armful of papers. "I told her that I wouldn't let you kill me." A chuckle broke free from his delicate pink lips.
The Phantom's smirk grew wider. Stepping closer to the boy, he looked down at him. "And how were you planning on stopping me?" he whispered huskily, his eyes gazing deep into the boy's cerulean eyes.
Raoul stretched up, tenderly pressing his lips to the other man's. Lingering for a while, he pulled back slightly, his eyes sparkling mischievously. "That was part of the plan," he murmured, moving his hand slowly down the broad chest in front of him. "How about we finish moving your stuff so we can go finish up?"
The Phantom smiled. "Very well. I suppose I could let you live a little longer."
