Hi! I am Perseus Aison Remes. Ever since I was young my dad wasn't around at all, he still never is, really. My mom was consistently telling me that he was a poet/songwriter and was in a car crash that took his life shortly after my birth. Life was tough without having a father, I never was taught anything by a father that other boys my age were taught, so I had to learn from my mother which wasn't the best moments of my life. Also, people would bully me for not having a father, and the fact I was dyslexic. The weird thing is that I couldn't read the English language well but I could read Greek perfectly fine. I never really had any friends, but I found that more helpful since I will be by myself in the real world when I grow up. I found out during my spare time, which I had a lot of, that I was particularly good in the arts-poetry, acting, painting, etc. – by the age of 5. I had a loving passion for all of them, I felt connected to the Earth during these activities. I am a complete theatre geek, so to say musical prodigy, and one heck of a poet. If you are wondering, yes I am pretty a self-centered person. By the time I got to junior high, people became prejudiced. I was out casted because I didn't participate in any sport teams. I tried to create my own little group, but that didn't really work out. With the sports situation, all I was able to do is archery (is that even considered a sport? Oh, whatever). I also found I was good at healing people. Is that even normal? I have no clue, but on with my life. People must be thinking right now, "what a creep, all he does is the arts, archery and heal, what the heck!" Then finally when I was 11 years old I had finally made a friend. His name was Frank and he had just transferred to my school. A few weeks later, believe it or not, Frank's friend Mia from his old school transferred here too! We made an unstoppable trio. Her name is Mia. She was and probably still is the smartest mortal I know. We had a great time, and then the monstrosity came. Near the end of the school year we had a substitute teacher in English. Halfway through the class she turned into a monster and tried to destroy the classroom. Once this happened Mia tapped the bangle she always wore and it turned into a full length sword! Mia stabbed the monster, or empousa they called it, in the heart and it turned to dust. After that Mira and Frank explained everything to me. They said that my dad wasn't really dead, but a god, and what we are. Apparently Frank is a satyr, half man, half goat, and Mia and I demigods, half god and half mortal. How did I not know this! Mia told me that she is a daughter of Athena, goddess of wisdom and battle strategy. Frank told me once we get to Camp Half-Blood my father might claim me as his son. When the three of us cross the border at some pine tree everybody gasps when I cross. There is a golden mist in the shape of a lyre hovering above my head. Mia sees this then announces, "Perseus Aison Remes, son of Apollo."
