Prologue
Knowledge is the ultimate power. None knew that more than Vel'koz, the Eye of the Void. Knowledge through disintegration, he would say. He learned to kill, and killed to learn. As he floated across the institute, he realized that there was not enough information in this world. He craved more, and to do that, he would have to travel to newer worlds. Learning spells from summoners, he conjured a portal. The destination was yet to be received. As he wandered to the portal, he made one last look at his surroundings, at what he would leave behind for the time being, and left.
