Far away, high in the clouds, beyond the view of those that dwell on The Surface, their lay a town suspended in time, a town set to bear a prophecy of new and old.
This town, this world, was known as Skyloft, it's islands served as home to the Skyloftians, and their Loftwings, their birds of oppressive and immense sizes and glory. This world knows nothing of trouble, only the peace and beauty of their world, none of that below it.
However, looming as the central point of this place of tranquility lay the Thunderhead. The villagers of Skyloft dare not approach it, even the knight that watched over the skies feared to fly to near the place, as twisters ravened it often.
Sealed within the Thunderhead was a place of tragic beauty, th Isle Of Songs. Holding dear to it, this place was the secret keeper for the past, present, and future. Not only secrets did it hold, but a soul….
The soul of the Goddess's hero, bound to be reborn and set forth the new prophecy that will start it all…
"Headmaster, come quick!" The newest knight, Rife shouted, the doors to the office slamming open. Outside, thunder blared, lightning instantly set the room ablaze with light, and then it was gone. Gaepora snapped his head up, waking from his silent stupor.
"What is it, child?" he said gruffly, turning to face Rife.
"The Statue…." Gaepora sharpened his gaze, searching the boy's eyes.
"What about the statue?" He said tensely.
"It…. It's…. I-"
"For the Goddess's sake, spit it out, boy!"
"Th-there's a kid up there! A Loftwing to, the color of a burning sunset! I've never seen the kid before, I swear! He's just lying there…" Rife continued to babble, but Gaepora had turned his attention away, looking out across the dark, stormy horizon, rain splattering on the window. He looked at the Statue Of The Goddess.
Lightning struck hard and fast, thunder roared loudly, then there was silence.
Down the hall, a girl with golden-blonde hair sat up with a start, breathing rapidly.
Across the lush grass and up the stone steps, the boy with the crimson Loftwing stirred.
