Percy tells Paul
"Paul." Percy said, his voice trembling. "I need to talk to you. Follow me."
Percy led Paul to a place that was so deep into the apartment that no one could here the conversation that they were about to have. The room was a little bland there were no real exotic colors or pictures in the room. There was a bed in the corner and a dresser on the opposite side of the room. A desk was bellow the bed next to the door. It was a little desk with a picture of him and his mom. There was a red memory book next to the picture. It had a picture of Percy and Annabeth in it.
"This is the guest bedroom, where I sleep. I brought you here to tell you something that is very important if you will live here. Do you know why I brought you here?" Percy asked with a firm voice.
"Let me guess, it has to do something with why you are always gone?" Paul said trying to make the conversation a little more enthusiastic.
"Yes. As you know I'm never here during the winter. I am at a camp for special people like me." Percy said in a stuttering voice.
"You mean dyslexic people?" Paul asked curiously.
"Yah, but there is more to this camp than that." Percy said breathing deeply. "Have you ever taught Greek mythology?"
"No" Paul replied quickly as if trying not to freak out. "Are you saying that all of that is true?"
"Yes. I am the son of Poseidon. I can control water by the wave of my hand." Percy said.
"Yah, like I am suppose to believe that!" Paul snapped back.
Percy told Paul to stay where he was for a second until he got back. Paul was twirling his thumbs nervously thinking Percy was insane.
Percy came back with a full cup of water in his hands. He set it on the dresser and stood in front of it.
"Here is some proof for you." Percy said confidently.
Percy flipped his head up and was mouthing out words. He turned back to the cup and put one hand out. He slowly lifted his hand and the water came out in little clumps. Paul was now standing behind him in amazement. He what he'd as Percy moved the water around the room. He had passed out on the couch. But he woke up in no time at all and said:
"So the gods really are real."
He almost passed out but Percy caught him and laid him down gently. He splashed him with a little bit of water and he woke right up. He started to ask a lot of question like:
"What else can you do?"
"How were you born?"
Percy answered the questions and said that only the people at camp his mom and now Paul knew this. They walked out of the room stiff and not speaking to each other. Later that day Percy left with Annabeth and Paul finally understood. He felt like they actually knew each other. The rest of there days were yet to be reviled, whether they would be a real family or if there would be a divorce.
