Al crouched down, watching a cute, little turtle slowly walk along the road. "Brother!" Al called, "Look at this turtle!"

"Come on, Al!" Ed whines, "We've got a long way to go!"

The metal boy sighed and looked sadly at the turtle. "First I couldn't have a puppy, now I can't have a turtle either!"

Suddenly, the turtle looked up at Al and said, "Oh? Why can't we be friends?"

Al shrieked and jumped, pointing a finger at the turtle. "Y-you can talk!?"

"Of course I can," said the turtle, "My name is Anna. Would you mind giving me a ride on your shoulder?"

Al smiled, well; he smiled the best he could in a metal suit. "Uhm… I guess?' He gently picked the turtle up and placed he on his shoulder.

"AL! COME ON!" Ed yelled from a distance.

"Oh, crud! Coming!"

As Alphonse began to run toward his brother, Anna bounced against his armour, laughing and giggling. She was, in fact, still laughing when they finally caught up to Ed.

"Sorry, Brother…" Al apologized, glancing at Ann on his shoulder.

Ed was looking at Anna now, too; it was pretty hard to ignore a laughing turtle.

"Al… What is that THING on your arm?"

"Who are you calling a THING, short stuff?" Anna asked, sticking her turtle tongue out.

"WHO ARE YOU CALLING A PEA-SIZED ULTRA-MIDGET!?" Ed screamed, leaping at Anna.

However, Ann quickly leapt out of the way, flying through the air. Ed and Al watched as mid-way through the turtle's ju,p, she transformed isn't a slim girl with short brown hair, cut glasses, green shirt and jeans.

"See, I'm NOT a thing."

Ed stood up from where he had fallen after leaping at Anna and stared, open-mouthed. "W-what… You're a girl!?"

Anna giggled and nodded. "And I'm taller than you, too!"

Al grabbed Ed to prevent him from killing her, Anna just started laughing.

"actuall, I'm more than a girl. I'm a Christmas-turtle-girl!"

She pulled out two Santa hats and shoved them onto Ed and Al's heads.

"Don't you two look adorable?" Anna beamed with happiness. "Well, my job here is done!"

She then turned and began to run away, laughing as she did so, before turning back and waving at the Elric brothers.

Al waved back, yelling, "Merry Christmas, Anna!"

Ed, who was now pouting, crossed his arms and mumbles, "And a Happy New Year."

A/N: I received this story for Christmas last year and thought I should post it after losing it for the majority of the year. :/
