This is my first (But so not my last :P) Revolution fic. It's very short and kinda fluffy and all family...no incest...
This is not based around a specific episode.
I own nothing except the computer I wrote this on :)
Miles found the guitar leaning in the corner. They were on a raid and things went about the same as usual, they had been attacked, but they came out the other side mostly unscathed.
He picked up the guitar and strummed the sings and turned a knob slightly tuning it up a little, before sitting down and lightly running his fingers over the stings, playing a soft tune.
Charlie paused in the doorway and watched him for a moment; she couldn't remember hearing him play before. She had a faded memory of watching him play when she was very small, but she can't hear the song anymore, she can only see him sitting on the chair on her front porch as he smiled at her.
Miles looked up and saw her and sat the guitar down. "Hey, did we get everything we can use?" he asked.
Charlie nodded. "Yeah, they're packing up the medical supplies we found right now." She walked over and picked up the guitar and held it out to him, "Will you play me a song?"
Miles raised his brows in surprise, and started to decline. The "no" was ready on his lips when he saw the look on her face and realized that she probably hadn't had much music in her life after the blackout.
He sighed a little and nodded. "Alright, what song?"
Charlie smiled and sat down beside him. "I don't know, something I've never heard before." She chuckled, "There's a lot of those."
Miles smirked and started to play.
Nora walked around the corner and stopped when she heard the music. Looking around the corner, she was surprised to see Miles playing; he hadn't in a long while. What was more surprising though was the smile on his face as he watched Charlie sway to the music.
Nora knows that the only reason he was playing now was for Charlie, and she knows that there isn't much that he wouldn't do for that girl.
"That was beautiful." Charlie said as he stopped playing. "Will you play it again?"
As Nora turned around and herded everyone else outside to make sure that the song went uninterrupted, she was grateful for Charlie. There are going to be a lot of hard times to come and if she can get the great Miles Matheson to relax for a few minutes and appreciate some of the little things, she might just save his life.
More than she already has.
