The Evening After The Day Before
"So...about earlier," Nikola moved over to lean with both hands on her desk, grinning.
"Yes..." she said simply, knowing exactly what he was about to say.
"You kissed me," he leaned closer, his smile growing.
"Your observation skills confound me!" she scoffed.
"You kissed me," he said again, this time with a disbelieving tone laden on his voice.
"Yes, yes I did," she smirked.
"And...?" he smirked. "What does this mean?"
"What do you think it means?"
"You love me? Ah Helen, I've waited so long for this moment! You, admitting your undying love for me. Me, alone with you in your office late at night..." he leaned impossibly closer.
She suddenly lifted her hand to his cheek and smiled mischievously. "So, you're just going to stand there?"
"Wha..." he looked shocked, his mouth hanging open slightly.
"So, you are alone with me in my office late at night, you have me right where you want me, and you're just going to stand there gaping?" she cocked her head.
"Why, Helen, are you proposing what I think you're proposing?" his smirk reappeared on his face.
"Why, Nikola, of course I am you stupid fool," she put her other hand on his other cheek and pulled him in for a fiery kiss.
"Well... I was not expecting that!" he muttered before pulling her in for a kiss of his own.
