AUTHOR'S NOTE PLEASE READ: Hello and welcome to my first story. Unfortunately there aren't a lot of Highschool DXD/Akame Ga Kill stories and the one that are around mostly involve Tatsumi so I've decided to add one myself.
The story will follow the original Highschool DXD anime (Not sure if there are differences between it and the manga) with some changes due to the presence of Akame. I'm a very neutral person when it comes to Issei as I don't believe he deserves the Harem he has (for the most part) and for that reason I will not be pairing Akame with Issei. Akame in this story is bisexual with a stronger liking towards girls so if you don't like that too bad I won't change it. This first chapter takes place two months before Issei is killed by Raynare.
I haven't watched Highschool DXD in a while so I'm going to have to watch it again but I've got a very good idea so far. There is one thing I'm going to change about the Angels/Fallen; we all know that the amount of wings an Angel has correlates with how powerful they are and I'm going to add a little twist to that (Don't think it's been done before), if an Angel/Fallen has less than 12 wings they will temporarily obtain another pair by using power-ups (e.g. Ophis blessings and Akame's Murasame).
If you have any questions leaver a review or PM me.
Disclaimer: I don't own Highschool DXD or Akame Ga Kill:
An assassin. That was what she had been since she was a child. After she had defeated Esdeath and felt that she was no longer needed in the Empire she decided to travel to the East in search for a cure for Murasame's curse. Unfortunately for her, the ship she had been travelling on was caught in a storm and she perished. At least... that's what she thought. She had woken up in the middle of an alley at night and looking straight at her was a black snake.
"Hello..." it greeted.
"W-Where am I?" She looked around frantically.
"I thought I was—"
"Dead? You were, but I brought you back" The snake finished for her.
"But how?" Akame questioned.
"You needn't worry about that yet."
"Then why?"
"I need your power to help me reach my goal. Even though you are considerably weaker than many of the beings in this world you can still be useful and become more powerful over time, more so with my help." The snake, who she assumed was a female, answered.
"And how exactly can you help me?"
"I already did. There are four markings on your body, two below your collarbone and two behind your neck, these are my blessings." Akame looked at her collarbone and saw what looked to be two intertwined snakes biting each other tails making an infinity symbol.
"What do they do?" She asked, noticing that the marks Murasame gave her were gone.
"One of them gives you a power boost, although you will undoubtedly get stronger over time. The other has given you a lot of the knowledge of this world, but it will only unlock unconsciously when you need it. As of now you have the basic knowledge of the Three Factions and the language of this country since the one you speak is an older version of it. The third blessing gives you some of my abilities. The final blessing prevents the curse of your sword from making any permanent damage. "
"But my sword is gone."
The snake made a hiss or a sigh, she couldn't tell, "I've brought you back to life and given you blessings... Do you really think I would not be able to repair a sword?"
"I suppose that's not the most logical way of thinking... but I was wondering, what is this feeling on my back?" Akame asked.
"Ah, yes. I was wondering when you were going to ask that. Those are your wings." The snake answered her.
"My... wings?"
"Yes. I had been observing you for a while now, and according to everything I have seen I made you part of the faction that I believe you are most similar to. A Fallen Angel. Now, think of a crow spreading their wings and you shall be able to use yours."
Akame stood up and did what was asked of her.
Four wings appeared on her back.
"I expect that you are grateful." Akame nodded albeit a bit hesitantly , "Good. Now... I have a job for you. There's a boy that lives here and I want you to keep an eye on him."
"May I know why?"
"The way he is right now he is completely useless. He might as well be an ordinary human but he isn't. He holds a very powerful weapon and I want you to know everything about him and report to me when he awakens his power. It will be very useful." The snake told her, beginning to slither into the darkness.
"Wait! I still have a lot of questions about this country."
The snake stopped, "Don't you humans have any places where you can learn things?"
"Like a library?"
"If that's what it's called." The snake said slithering away once more.
"I have one last question for you."
It stopped one last time and waited, "What?"
"Who are you?"
"Ophis." She answered, finally receding into the darkness.
Akame then decided to roam around the town for a few day and after finally stumbling into a library she learned the necessities to live as a normal person in the new world. One day while wandering around she met someone interesting.
"I've finally collected enough money to get myself a good apartment, now I just have to get into the school to keep a closer eye on this Issei Hyoudou." Akame thought, passing by a man who was fishing.
"What are you doing?" the man asked.
"... What do you mean?"
"Don't act dumb. I know what you are and who you've been following, but why?" The man asked, looking at her.
"And who are you to know that?" She questioned back.
The man smiled, "The fact that you're a Fallen and don't know who I am makes me very curious as to who you are."
"My name is Akame. As to what I'm doing, you don't need to concern yourself with that... yet."
"I'm Azazel, pleasure to meet you."
"The leader of the Grigori." Akame stated after a small pause.
"Ah! So you do know who I am!" He exclaimed, catching a glimpse of a small purple light that came from behind her neck during her pause.
"You fell because of your lust towards the female body and because you had sex with a human woman."
"That is correct. May I know how you fell?" He asked.
"Good thing I actually thought about an answer for this." She thought before answering, "I suppose I fell for a similar reason."
"Oh? How so?" He asked, intrigued.
"I'm a lesbian, so you can make your own theories on what that led to."
Azazel stayed silent as if he was considering something, "Would you like to become a part of the Grigori?"
Akame raised an eyebrow at this, "Why?"
"Well, I'm assuming you're a new Fallen and if you didn't know this is Devil territory more specifically of the heiresses of the Gremory and Sitri. It isn't really safe here." Azazel said, noticing that the purple light flashed behind Akame's neck twice.
"You mean Rias Gremory and Sona Sitri? Don't worry even if they did find out I was here they wouldn't be a match for me."
"A bit cocky don't you think?"
"It isn't cockiness if you can back it up" Akame rebutted.
It was at that moment that a black snake slithered its way up Akame's body to to her arm, "What do you think buddy? Should I go with Mr. Azazel and join the Grigori?
Azazel raised an eyebrow while Akame took a small pause before answering, "I see... very well, you can go now little buddy. I guess I'll go with you Azazel."
"That's good..." Azazel said, taking a glance at the retreating snake.
"Although, I ask that you do not interfere with my observations."
"Sure. I was actually planning on sending one of my subordinates to keep an eye on him but—"
"For whatever reason you wanted to do that you will still have to as I am doing this for my own reasons which I believe are most certainly different than yours." Akame interrupted.
"Vey well, but I ask that you keep an eye on who I'm sending because while she is very loyal she has a tendency of doing things on her own accord."
"I suppose I could do that." Akame agreed.
"Thank you. I would like to ask how many wings you have. I sense that you have four in total but there's something else within you that makes me believe that you have more."
"I have four wings and I think I'll keep the other thing to myself for now."
"I suppose everyone is entitled to their own secrets." he said.
"I would like to know when you are sending your subordinate so I can be prepared for them to arrive." asked Akame.
"Don't worry about that, you can make yourself acquaintances when I show you around."
"I guess. Although I'll have you know that I'll be staying here and before you say anything I'm very good at masking my presence and the only reason you knew what I was is because you're so powerful."
"Oh gush, you're making me blush."
"Shut up. I was wondering if you had any ways to enroll me into Kuoh Academy?"
"Consider it done." He said confidently.
"Shall we get going now?" he asked.
"Sure." Akame nodded, taking out a half face long neck face mask and putting it on.
Azazel looked at her strangely.
"I'm keeping this on around people I don't trust." Akame told him.
"Aww, don't you trust me?" he asked innocently.
"I just met you and even though you are the leader of the Grigori you will have to earn my trust.
"Fair enough." He said, making a magic circle below them.
Akame caught the eyes of a snake looking at her before disappearing.
That's it for the first chapter. I realize this is short but this is more of a small introduction. The next chapter is when the series starts. Hope you enjoyed and if you have any ideas as to something you would like to see regarding Akame's abilities or the plot leave a review or PM me.
