Brennan laid on her partner's couch in his sweat shirt, looking up into the blackness that surrounded her. Tears welling in her eyes as her mind replayed the event over and over. He was looking at her. Telling her not to make him leave. Why would he think she was making him leave? He was her favorite. Everyone knew it. Why, why would he think she was making him leave? His voice rang through her ears. His last words still loud and clear in her mind. She could not sleep. Closing her eyes resulted in seeing his face, the blood pooling behind his head as Booth tried to stop the bleeding. Breathing was becoming harder for the doctor as she fought with the tears forming. She would not cry. She could not cry. Yes it was sad, she was more then upset. She had now lost two of her grad students. One to the looney bin as everyone around her liked to call it and the other to death. Both had been her favorite. Both had been her choice to one day replace her. Both now taken from her. Turning her head to the right, she saw the closed door that held a sleeping Seeley Booth. Slowly, Brennan pushed herself up from the couch. She could not take it any longer. She needed to be with someone. She needed someone, mainly Booth, to hold her. She could not be alone. The pain was too much for her. She slowly pushed the door to his bed room open, wanting to feel his strong arms around her as the tears she had been fighting started to spill over her eye lids.
Not my best or the longest. But I wanted to do something. I am very sad over the Death of VNM. He was one of my favorite. I will miss him greatly.
